This is another one of those gems that so few people even know exists. You can see this place from the road, but it's in a small shopping center and somewhat easy to miss.
The beer selection is excellent with Belhaven Twisted Thistle, Bitburger Pils, Pilsner Urquell and Warsteiner Dunkel on tap. The bottled beers (20+) include a mix of imports and American microbrews. You'll be hard pressed to find a fresh American Light Beer in this place. Miroslav, the owner, told me that he purchased one case of miller light, bud light and coors light just in case someone ever wanted one, but has only sold two bottles in the entire 7+ months that the restaurant has been open. He said that he won't be buying anymore in the future.
Happy hour prices are $2.50 for every beer, and Miroslav has extended happy hour a number of times when I've been sitting at the bar and the conversation has been good.
The food is very, very good, but expect to spend $10 at a very minimum for an entree. The menu is Eastern European and I would suggest the Jaeger Schnitzel or the Slovak Sausage, as they will not disappoint.
The only complaint is that some of the staff is young and not on the up and up when it comes to beer. Otherwise service is good.
Overall I would recommend this place to anyone. This is my favorite place in all of the Arlington/Pantego area.
