Came to Dan Murphy's a couple of times when I was living at North Lakes. In all honesty, it is just a standard 1st Choice Liquor, so there is a fair whack of different wines with some liquor and some beer.

Most of the beers they have for sale are the standard stock you will find in the 1st Choice Liquors and Dan Murphy's stores, with the usual small selection of craft beers.

The staff were pleasant and attentive enough too. A decent range in a decent store, typical of the Woolworths / Coles chain of stores.

Well, this will be an interesting experiment. 1st Choice Liquor Superstores seem to be the Coles Myer response to Woolworths Dan Murphy's and Vintange Cellars. Given that Brisbane in general is a beer desert, and the part that I inhabit is worse than most, imagine my immense delight when I walked into a LiquorLand store in the process of being converted to a 1st Choice less than 10 minutes drive from my house and came face to face with the entire Weihenstephaner range. And there were Belgians (most recently including Westmalle Tripel and Rochefort 10). Furthermore, there was a better range of Aussie craft brews than any other store I have seen in Brisbane. Prices are the cheapest I have seen for some of the rarer brews.

In addition to the beers, this place has the best range of wine I have seen as well.

The only downside is the service, which while enthusiastic is seriously lacking in knowledge. This is hardly as surprise, and I was more than willing to overlook this given the superiority of the range, location and price over anything else in Brisbane. I really hope this place is a raging success, stays open, and continues to stock a wide range of great beers.
