L: Slightly hazy yellow/gold body. Soapy white head has good retention.
S: Very bland and inoffensive — cracker malt and that’s about it.
T: Follows the nose. More American Lager than Czech pils.
F: Crisp, clean
O: Decent lager that’s more American Lager than Pilsner due to its low hop profile.

Another of my local, in-person trading partner, @tone77 's drop-offs, brings me to the opening of my day. I had toyed with hieing out to Bistro on Bridge in Phoenixville for their 10th Anniversary Party today, but then it dawned on me that such excursions are how I built up my backlog in the first place. I'm staying put, watching TV, reading books & drinking beer. That's a good day!
From the Bottle: "When you're dry ... Drink Buckeye"; "Sparkling Dry Premium Beer".
The label looked like a 1950s throwback, which is pretty cool. Even cooler is that it is a Czech/BoHo Pils, one of my fave styles! I Pop!ped the cap & started a slow, gentle C-Line pour into the awaiting glass. It foamed mightily, producing two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head that left magnificent lacing in its wake. Color was an oh-so-slightly-hazy Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4), like liquid sunshine in my glass! Nose had a solid biscuity maltiness, but no real hops presence, Noble/Saaz or otherwise. Hmm. A check of their website revealed nothing. Retired, perhaps? I will take FORAC. Meanwhile, the mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, on par for any Lager. The taste had a mild grassy bitterness, but it was weak sauce for a BoHo Pils, if that is what it was intended to be. Hmm. Finish was dry and refreshing, so no complaints there. This was a pleasant enough start to my day. YMMV.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, lemons, some grains. Taste is of bready malts, lemons, a touch of sweetness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer probably better enjoyed during the summer.

Poured a yellow color. Smelled just like a normal American lager. Tasted light with a thin body. I'd compared it to a slightly better Miller Lite.

During a recent trip to Maumee Bay for dinner and beers with my coworkers, this was my 2nd beer of the evening. I though this might be a good one to end on after trying out Jefferson Lives.
This beer pours a clear golden hue that readily showcases its high carbonation content. A white frothy head graces the top of the beer and dissipates slowly to a thin lacing that is retained. 4.5/5 The aroma is very typical of the Czech Pilsener style with cereal grains and caramel creating a sweet malty aroma. Along with the malt there is a bit of green apple, green grapes, and grassy hops. Very simple aroma, but very good. 4/5 The flavor profile is once again heavy on the malt with light cereal grains, white bread, and a light caramel note leading the way and dominating the flavor profile. Grassy hops do come through, balancing the sweetness. The bitterness from the hops is light and does not linger after swallowing. 3.75/5 A light carbonation burn hits the tongue right away and leads into a light body that is lightly dry with light lingering dryness. 4/5 This is somewhat atypical of the Czech Pilsener style in that there is really no butteriness or creaminess to the beer. Still, it is a very good Pilsener, albeit closer to the German style than the Czech. 4/5

A simple complexity with this beer. Much better than a 75. A hint of sweetness is quickly washed away by some hops with a smooth dry finish. A great food beer. Love it.
