This one pours off the tap with plenty of fluffy white head forming a heavy pillow over an opaque medium-brown. The head sticks around and leaves thick rings and patches of lacing.
The aroma offers exactly what's advertised. This one, appropriately, doesn't have as much of a caramel malts presence as breads, and hops add enough to balance and a little more without taking off the maltiness. There's a bit of leafiness and a touch of earth, but breads are the main component.
The same is true of the flavor, well-balanced with a good hops presence adding a touch of bitterness plus a very herbal note in what's otherwise almost like drinking a loaf of bread. It does take an odd turn toward tea-like, almost like an English mild, which throws me off a little, though.
The feel is light and offers good balance as well, and there's a bit of carbonation and crispness to begin with, but it goes a touch flat where it's otherwise good.
