Nitro-can into pint glass
A - The pour from the nitro-can got off to an immediate bad start. The instant the can was cracked a beer & head mix immediately starts spewing out. Lost ¼ to 1/3 of the 15oz can. When settled... very thick 2+ finger head, clear orange brown amber color, almost no head dissaapiation at all 4
S - Coffee and caramel with a bit of floral hoppiness and smoke 3.5
T - Sweet toasted, caramel and earthy malts dominate, mild hop/smoke/coffee finish 3.5
M - Moderate body has an oiled velvet mouth feel 4
O - a good beer that I just don't think I am fond of, could have another but won't 3.0

Belhaven Scottish Ale brewed by Belhaven Brewery Company Ltd.This brew pours out dark amber color or light brown. With 3 shades of brown as the brew sits.It like this brew has 2 heads one fades away. The head is thick, creamy, and white. The smell is rich with flavor. I smell
tobacco and raisins. I'm not saying that is a bad thing. The taste is sweet- but bitter. Nothing overpowering ,but it has a bitter aftertaste. This brew is something I would get again if I was having a nice dinner. I'm giving this brew a 3.75 out of 5.

A: Very clear deep amber color with a moderate creamy white head that settles to a layer of bubbles. Great lacing on the glass as you drink.
S: Bready, nutty, some toffee and other roasted barley sweetness. Light fruit esters as well.
T: Fresh brown bread, toffee, caramel, light esters of cherry like flavor, mild hop bitterness to keep the sweetness from totally running away. Mild earthy hop flavor as well. The finish is on the dry side and sweet.
M: Medium body with tiny crisp carbonation and a dry finish. No warming from alcohol.
O: Very clean and fresh tasting with some slight estery flavors and low on the smoky flavors with this Scottish Ale. Well done and easy to drink! I would get this again.
