awash with new beers to try these days in the Land of Coor's lite/Bud Lite & clam.
Paler and not as hazy as some EIPA's I've tried. So-so head and lacing. Does managed that slightly steeped orange pekoe tea colour though.
Aroma is a bit of a let down. Am I too used to the Yank IPA's? Probably. But this one smeels grainy without much in the way of hop, pine, citrus, etc.
True to the style, it's more about balancing malts with the hop. This beer manages that nicely. Malts, in the form of sweet bread and caramel tend to rule most of the roost, the grapefruit citrus lurks just below to add some interest and balance.
Smooth as silk mouthfeel if served cool in a glass vs cold.
Nice example of the style. Don't let the so-so aroma fool you.
