Appearance: I would say on the darker side of gold body. Great head and lace. Just the right amount of carbonation to the body.

Smell: A bit of citrus and a bit metallic.

Taste: The taste was surprisingly clean. Grassy and malty sweet. There are some mild hops

Mouthfeel: Clean and crisp. It is a light bodied lager but heavier than a lot in this class.

Overall: One of their better lagers.
Both on tap and in a bottle this is a good beer.

Perfect clarity and a light golden color; disappointingly small head.

Delicate aroma with slight sweet malt, light husk/vegetal quality, and floral hop.

Flavor starts off familiar like a Bud but it finishes with more depth and is more enjoyable. Good carbonation lifts the light body. Flavor is balanced and light, making this very drinkable. Would like malts to be a bit more but hops seem dialed in and finish the beer with a good snap.

Overall an enjoyable light lager.

On-tap at the Brew Co.

Pours a bright, orange-tinted straw with a fizzy, fluffy white head.

Aromas of grassy hops and light lemon-y citrus atop bready malt. Crisp and clean on the palate, with a lightly lingering breadiness. Medium bodied with good scrubbing carbonation, and very drinkable.

On tap from the brewery. Was served with a lime wedge, I was a bit taken back, but our server said it would enhance the beers aroma and palate.
Poured a light golden color, good carbonation, small white head. Slightly sweet malt smell, the lime added a citrus kick. Malty grain flavor, sweetness balanced with some bitter hops. Dry and crisp finish, the lime seemed to help cut through the carbonation bite. Actually very drinkable, kept an open mind with the lime, enjoyed this on a hot afternoon.

A friend brought me a few samples of Muellers offerings decided to start with the Lager. Pours a clean, light golden color with minimal head. Kinda grainy, dry but smooth taste inviting me in for more. Really light mouthfeel similar to a macro beer but with a flavor that coats your mouth. Not outstanding but I believe its hard to find an outstanding lager. Very drinkable could probably put away a six-pack no problem. Overall a good, not great, but good beer.

Definitely fits the munich lager style IMO. Has a nice malty flavor and a different 'grassy' hop flavor that I like a lot for a change of pace. Reminds me A TON of Blue Paddle from New Belgium.

This was the surprise of the trip going to brewco. I've been there a ton but usually don't drink this beer there. Its a good change of pace. The malt and hops create a completely different flavor in this beer that makes it stand apart (all of the other beers seem a little like variations of the same flavor).

This is my second beer from in town brewer Springfield Brewing Co.

A: light golden hued translucent, stady carbonation, small white head. overall, a pedestraian appearance.

S: mild honey, some lemon zest, mild but nice.

T: WELL-BALANCED. malty sweet and smooth honey-grain up front with a dry finish. Hops are moderately bitter, but somewhat unnuanced, just adding a lot of dryness, but not much flavor. Tame, refreshing, and enough flavor to keep drinking.

M: oddly coats the mouth with a puckering dryness that sucks in the cheeks. crisp and plenty carbonated.

D: very drinkable, could have them all afternoon evening on a hot Springfield day.

Good lager, not remarkable, but definately solid.

Got this on tap at the brewery, nice to see my hometown (Springfield, MO) do such a nice job of brewing an excellent Helles style beer.

I just got back from Germany two months ago, and I can say that this beer tastes every bit as good as any helles in Munich. It's taste is pretty much the classic helles taste, a nice blend of fairly sweet malt and hops that is easy to drink. My only slight complaint about this brew would be that the mouth feels seems to fade just a tad too soon towards the end. It's not watery, it could just use a little more finish at the end.

As I said at the top, a very good helles. Fresh as hell on tap. If you are in Springfield, Missouri and want a good easy drinking, fresh German Lager, this is the one to get. By the way, this is a helles all the way through, I am e-mailing Jason and Todd, as this is not a Marzen.

12oz. bottle compliments of Ira.

Pours a clear golden straw color with a small white head that vanishes. No lacing on the glass.

Aroma is light and malt dominated with just a touch of hops. There is also a slight fruitiness present.

Taste is malty upfront with a slight fruitiness. A slight hop taste shows up midway and maintins through the finish. Finishes fairly dry.

Light body, low carbonation.

This is a pretty drinkable beer, but a bit boring. A decent thirst quencher on a hot day.

A well crafted Lager with a Medium light mouthfeel - good for the style. Aroma of malts and weak hops. Sits well very drinkable with just right carbonation. Available in bottles and Kegs and minikegs. Well liked by Lager lovers. "Tast like the Blue Tucher" was heard across the bar.

Clear, gold in hue with a coppery influence, it is a shade lighter in color then most American versions. The head was sticky, white in color, about a finger and a half in height. Retention was good; it subsided to a fizzy cap in a few moments. There was minimal subsequent spotty lacing. The overall appearance is quite pleasant. The nose is clean. Too clean for me, sure I know it is a Lager but I can hardly smell the malt! There are hints of spiciness, brown sugar, and caramel. The potency is low. Generally speaking the nose seems to say, “O-fest.” Maybe I’m being susceptible, as I can hardly smell anything. Adequate bouquet. The palate is very good. Sure it is the dead of winter but this O-fest is pleasantly healthy and it hits the spot. Tasty. Straightforward malt construction, lightly bready. There is soft sweetness, brown sugar and a toasty caramel backdrop. The hops offer some grassy/earthy/spicy flavors. Pleasant. This O-fest doesn’t do anything special, it just does everything right. Far from earth shattering but this beer is very enjoyable to drink. If you’re a fan of O-fests this beer needs to be on your radar. Almost medium in body, low but natural carbonation, the mouthfeel is pleasant but nothing noteworthy. Good. This beer is plenty drinkable, this beer is tasty and it goes down well. I’d be happy to drink a few liters of this while munching on a big-ass pretzel. Thanks Bdc, this was a lovely beer.

Served as Munich Lager at the brewpub, this beer is available in bottles as Mueller Lager in and around the Springfield, MO area. Golden yellow appearance, white head that dissipates. Smell is clean, with slight caramel maltiness and a biscuity aroma. Taste is also very clean, slightly bready, with a slightly sweet aspect. Barely noticeable hop bitterness, seems to be well-balanced. Overall, a rather nice beer!
