B-Funk (the B is meant to mirror 13 years of business). This beer was aged for over two years in oak barrels with Brettanomyces bruxellensis giving it a complex mix of oak, vanilla and fruit packed with a sour finish. The B Funk is a beer that defies a simple description.

Pours darker than I was expecting out of a .375 smoky wine bottle into a chalise. Little off-white head quickly collapses.

Aroma of whisky and wood is replaced by vinegar and apple cider as the beer warms. Dark: deep mahogany wood with red highlight.

Sharp stinging brett sourness stings the tongue. Very sour; pickle-juice sour, particularly as it warms, masking the whisky and wood.

Overpowering sourness. Fizzy on the tongue.
