22 oz bomb bottle into imperial pint glass.
A - Orange-y amber color, fairly typical of an IPA in my opinion. What's not typical is the tremendous, foamy head I got off a medium-rough pour. Way rocky and hung out for quite a while and a bit remained all the way down the glass.
S - Not much insight to the flavor - a bit of citrus and malt.
T & M - Some interesting stuff going on here... The malts play a back-up role here as you might expect, lending some supporting sweetness but otherwise not distinguishing themselves. The hops are another story... Right off the top there's a distinct citrus-y flavor, that I can pinpoint as lemon and orange rind. That citrus flavor lingers through mid-palate. At the end of the palate, there's a distinct fruity, sourness, not dissimilar from a Guinness, that really hits the sides of your tongue. Not as tongue-dryingly hoppy as other IPAs, but still has a decent hop punch (full disclosure: I am a full-on hophead). Alcohol reveals itself a bit at the end. Mouthfeel is right-on with fairly low carbonation.
D - Pretty easy to quaff this; could see the fruitiness being quite nice on a summer day.
Quite a nice IPA; first try from this brewery and will try more from these guys.
