From BeerAdvocate Magazine Volume II, Issue II:

Hazy pale orange-amber color, head retention is up to snuff with a lively clinging lace. Orangey, heavy citric zest and grapefruit rind hop aroma, hint of raw honey and fresh baked bread in the back. Smooth with a mellow crispness in its medium body. Thick, oily and semi-pungent hop character drops a substantial amount of bitterness but more flavor, the sharpness comes quick and leaves quick, then the layers of flavor peel back. There is malt here, biscuity flavors are in the forefront. Slight maltiness or sweetness is there, but the bitterness smacks it down. Grapefruit rind, bitter orange peel, pine sap, herbal and a veggie leafy puckering tone that just pulls everything off the taste buds when it circles back to bitterness to the point of being semi-astringent. Finishes really dry with a trail of mineral and leaf.

This IPA is glove-off style, meaning the hop flavor jabs your taste buds here and there but it is ultimately the bitterness that comes around and finishes your palate off.

Bottle serving thanks to shandycan
Golden orange hue
Great smell not overpowering got initial piney notes
Taste was a little weak at first but got surprisingly better as It warmed, citrus, pine not over hopped.
At first I was quite disappointed but after half a glass things got better, during warm up flavors started coming out nice mellow pine citrus notes good aftertaste and finish a little flat in the middle but not over hopped or bitter, reminded me of wachusetts larry, but for the price comparison not as good.
Would gladly drink again but might not buy.

a lovely bottle of ipa really. maybe a tad on the expensive side at ten bucks a bomber, but i find myself almost thankful that this isnt stronger in abv, i like it where it is, and am happy to pay for good ipa. orange glowing color with a rising almost nitro looking off white head. some small pieces of yeast dance around in suspension, but i pay them no mind. the nose on this is west coast style, more resinous than bitter, with a nice citric hop oil complex and enough pale malt to give it legs. the flavor is similar. not particularly nuanced hop profile, a little sweet and fruity, lots of sappy oil, i like a simple ipa sometimes, and this is keenly refreshing. medium body is just right in all seasons, and the bubbles are ample. glides down with a long sticky finish. if this was 7 bucks a go, it would be a regular in my fridge. good weekday ipa.

A: Hazy opaque orange with a foamy white head.

S: Orange, some peach, maybe some tropical fruit in the nose.

T: Peach, orange and tropical fruit with a bit of bready malt that comes through in the finish.

M: Medium bodied and a bit smooth for an IPA, which is nice.

O: Delicious. Definitely recommended, definitely worth a try. body could have perhaps been a bit better and tropical fruit and peach could have been more prominent, but it was very tasty.
