22 oz bottle poured into a Delerium Tremens snifter.
Pour is pitch black with a half finger of brown foam. Aroma is boozy, dark candied fruits, ripe plum. No hops detected in the nose.
First impresion is alcohol burn, followed by a roast, bready flavor. not as much coffee or chocolate flavors as I would expect. There is a lingering alcohol burn. While this beer is very viscous, I am not tasting a corresponding amount of intense flavor to back it up... a bit too boozy for my preference. This is by no means bad, just a little unbalanced. I'd like to see some more roasted flavor, or a nice hoppiness to round this beer away from the alcohol.

Pours a dark jet black. No head, just the thinnest tan ring around the edge. No lacing.
Smells like booze. Minimal other aromas, maybe a hint of roasted malt and sweetness.
Taste is super thin, watery, mild sweetness, molasses and alcohol. Nothing lingers. Really disappointing. As it warms it get bigger and has some chocolate and coffee flavors, but still unusually thin and watery.
Thin mouthfeel. Very watery, alcohol is prevalent but not something that gets in the way.
Big let down. Maybe the most watery stout ever. Not much flavor either. I don't get what went wrong here. I sipped it, tasted little. Let it warm to room temp and still got a watery, boozy miss that only got a hair more flavor and body...

A - Pours a motor oil black with a very thin tan head.
S - Dark roasted malts and dark chocolate.
T - Lots of dark roasted malts, coffee, and bitter dark chocolate. There is a nice amount of dark fruit (cherries, raisins, plums) in the finish. ABV is not noticeable at all.
M - Heavy bodied with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a sticky finish.
O - This is a delicious Russian Imperial Stout. Highly recommended.
