Pours black with some dark chocolate highlights around the edge. Small, dark khaki head which disappears quickly. Minimal lacing.

Aroma of rich roasted malt. Some espresso, dark chocolate and smoke. Solid earthy and herbal hops underneath. Some notes reminiscent of a peaty scotch.

Heavy malt and hops both on the taste. Roasted malt and dark chocolate. Dank, earthy hops. Hints of smoke, salt and peat.

Rich creamy mouth feel. Moderate carbonation.

Very nice RIS with big flavors all around.

I'm not getting next to any smell on this...maybe it was served too cold? But it tastes like dark chocolate and a touch of cherries. It doesn't taste like it's 9.4% abv though, interesting brew

Very dark and good looking beer. A good head that was on the darker brown side.
Taste is strong and a solid stout. Has a bit of a cocoa flavor.
Moderate carbonation.
Solid and very easy to drink. Would buy again.

Complex, well balanced RIS. Would have liked it to be creamier in feel.

Light roasted coffee, cocoa & some hazlenut on the nose, and those flavors follow through along with some semi-sweet dark chocolate and very distant burnt fruit. That said it is a surprisingly smooth brew considering most of the elements at play. The oatmeal gives a thinner mouthfeel but that compliments the flavor profile. Excellent beer.

Look: Beautiful looking beer that is thick and dark as motor oil.

Smell: Rich, hearty smell.

Taste: Too much going on with this brew. The multitude of flavors is overwhelming. The flavors ultimately drown each other out. The aftertaste is powerful and nutty.

Feel: The feel is alright, but does not pair well with the taste.

Too complex.
