Happy Fathers Day from my son, and I am not sharing (I would, but he's not here and I'm thirsty. This is a good sucker too.
It pours a bit thick and exudes a little head. The aroma is sweet and thick with a bit of chocolate or something along with that oatmeal stoutiness.
The taste is sweet, roasty, thick and malty, with some hops too. It has a bit of creaminess too. The aftertaste is very sweet, but the burp is wonderful. This is a great stout from right in my backyard.

This is my first review on a stout so this one will be rocky.
Bottle poured into a tulip
A - Pours black and thick with a half finger reddish brown head.
S - Chocolate, toffee, coffee, and a hint of caramel.
T - Milk chocolate is the primary flavor. Midpalate turns to some toffee and caramel sweetness. It finishes with a coffee flavor that lingers on the tongue.
M - Borderline chewy. Very thick and full on the tongue with a lingering coffee flavor that's very subtly bitter.
O - I've been sitting on this bottle for a couple of months now and I am really glad I cracked it. I am not a stout fan in general but this one was very enjoyable. The mouthfeel is very big and the flavor is quite pleasant.

Had this on draft @ Local Option. I definitely underrated this beer.
Deep, dark-tan pour with a dark brown head/lacing. You taste and smell chocolate, coffee, sweetness from the oatmeal and experience a strong bodied taste from the malt backbone. What I really enjoyed was the creamy mouth-feel no doubt influenced by the oatmeal as well.
What I would really like to try is BA Boris but still hard for me to justify @$18.00 a bomber. After having Boris, though, I may find it easier to open up the wallet going forward.

Sampled June 2014 from bottle in pint glass.
Appearance: Pitch black, dark color, with a nice dark tan head. The head lasted a long time.
Smell: There are roasted malt aromas, along with some strong coffee aromas. Some hops in the aroma, as well as a sweetness from the oatmeal as well. Nice combination and balance between the hops, oatmeal, and the malts.
Taste: Full-bodied with great balance of malt and hops. There is a hint of sweetness that may be due to the oats, but it has an excellent taste. The combination of strong hops and roasted malts and strong alcohol give this drink powerful flavors.
Mouthfeel: Full-bodied, but very smooth. Very creamy, probably due to the oatmeal.
Overall: This was the first time I tried this beer, but I love it. Overall an excellent stout. I will definitely look for this and buy it again.
