This was a very fresh beer, it had been bottled less than a month ago.
Nice choppy head which diminished slowly and left nice lacing. It was a deep golden brass color.
It smelled sweet and malty with a slight grassy hoppy under tone
Taste went from a sharp clean hop bitterness to a full malty round mouth feel, but then finished dry and a little harsh.
This is a nice beer in its look and aroma. It is unfortunate that although it started well it finished rather harshly which really unbalanced the beer and sullied what was a very promising Czech Pilsner.

Format: a standard 330mL brown bottle with a pretty standard Euro macro label.

Appearance: looks like a cheap lager too. No head either

Aroma: smells of sweet malts and a touch of hops. A bit cheap.

Taste: tastes like it smells. A fairly poor-quality Euro lager.

Aftertaste: lingers for a short period before fading. Fair for a lager.

Mouth feel: moderate in body with a moderate carbonation. Feels a bit flat.

Overall: there are better lager / pilsner beers available in this price range. I don't think I'll be bothering with this one again.

Appearance - This came out a muddled yellow in color and not very attractive but did sport a nice, white head.

Smell - The rough grain is the only thing I can find in this nose.

Taste - The grain was just as bad at the taste. It was putrid and left a lingering, almost rotten kind of aftertaste. I found some light sugar in there towards the end but it wasn't very inviting.

Mouthfeel - This is light-bodied with little carbonation.

Sinkability - This was a notch below blah.

Pours clear gold with a puffy white head. Stale aroma of straw, grass, and hops. Bready, sweet taste with some hops and metal. Grassy finish. Decent, but nothing special. It came as mo surprise when I found this was owned by Heineken. Somewhat reminiscent of their hop profile.

This beer is very good!!! This beer really took me by surprise. It is light, as a good Pilsner. A real Staple in Pilsner beer, probably as good as Pilsner Urquell. I thought this beer was really good. It was very thin, but good. The taste was very good as well with hints of citrus and is semi bitter.

Had on tap in Tanks Tap Room Tampa Florida, one of his regular imports. Served in chunky dedicated Krusovice Glass tankard, is medium dark, maybe a little darker than the usual Pilsner, though had little head. Aroma is what would be expected of a typical pilsner, clean, maybe a little more malty than some, some floral and yeasty hints. Taste is good, fair body, and good texture for this style of beer, smooth and malty to start, but good balance of bitterness and hops in the finish, very tasty and refreshing. Easy to drink and very enjoyable, with plenty of character, more so than some other more popular pilsners. Strangely, I have never seen this beer in any form in England, yet we get Staropranen, Czech Bud, and most of the other well known Czech Pilsners, which is a great shame, as I would be more than happy to buy it, if it tastes the same from bottle as it does on tap from the samples I have had.

Clear golden colour, medium white head, some lacing, pretty average. Aroma is malty with some hops in the nose, grass, straw. Flavour is malty, but more hoppy than the aroma indicated, grass and straw and also some funky metallic notes that spoils it a bit. Mouthfeel is crisp with medium bubbles and the liquid isn't particularly sticky. All in all a decent pils that for its price is good value for money.

This beer is so good. Nothing like the Konig i had earlier. I like the malty and spiciness with the touch of hops! Dry finish is refreshing.

Poured from a bottle into a Pilsner Glass.

Appearance - Nice little head that sat atop the beer, seemingly lighter than air. Head transformed into a thin cover after the first few sips. Nice, golden colour that seemed to complement the late-August mid-Afternoon sun here in wonderful Atlanta. Thin streaks of green perhaps, or do my eyes deceive me? No lacing to speak of.

Smell: Light, but not faint. Czech hops dominated the aroma with hints of honey. Quite nice really.

Taste: Light, but not faint (hey wait a second!). Czech hops dominated the taste with hints of honey (Wait just one bloody second!). Main difference between the smell and taste was that the honey was stronger and more apparent sooner than in the smell. After my Ommegangs, this was an amazing change of pace.

Mouthfeel: Light, but not faint (have you any other descriptions?). Certainly not watery, but it was not particularly strong--in a good way.

Drinkability: Due to the fact the beer was...light, but not faint...I could easily consume several of these. A good summer beer, or any season beer for that matter. There was heaps going on with this beer, but it didn't smack you upside your head. Instead, it invited you to find its characteristics. Wonderful.

The beer is quite nice. The best way to describe it is...wonderfully subdued. If your looking for a Pliny or Storm King, look elsewhere. If you just want a quality beer you can enjoy and like drinking, this is it.

This beer is a clear, deep golden color with just the slightest lean toward amber. A soft, foamy white head fades fairly quickly while maintaining a foam and leaves some lacing here and there.
A crisp, dry hops aroma balances on the nose with a sweet malt with some grains. Nothing off-putting here, though it's extremely light.
The taste follows suit. This isn't a big beer, and I'd certainly refer to it as a pilsener rather than an imperial pilsener, but it's what I expect. While it doesn't stand out and it isn't going with the "palate destroyer" trend, this seems to be par for the course, so to speak.
The body is light without being watery, and this beer has a crisp, clean feel and a dry, herbal finish. It's definitely as refreshing as one expects from a pils.
If this was what the typical BMC was, we'd be better off for it.

Pretty standard Czech golden, with a nice foam on top. Smells slightly malty and slightly sweet, again with nothing really unusual.

Taste is actually something of a surprise. I expected something more, I guess, but this felt almost watered down. When something claims to be 'imperial' I just expect a bit of oomph.

Not a bad beer, just somewhat boring.
