Nice looking golden lager, white head that died quickly. Sweet aroma of the euro skunk, slides into the quaff along with the crisp lager malts. On the sweet side, but a decent brew, that finishes crisply - good hop balance. This would drink well in the summer heat, but the import price will probably keep it out of the DBF.

Bottled on 04/15/2010. Pretty damn fresh for an European import. Pours a clear pale golden color with a solid one inch of dense head. The head has very good retention before settling to a thick cap. Heavy lacing is left on the glass. Pretty damn impressive looking for a pilsener. The aroma has more going for it than a Saaz hop smell. Definately pick up on a sweeter malt bill than others of the style. The hops also smell fresh rather than skunky. Definately benefits from being fresh. The flavor starts dry and bitter but finishes from a slightly sweet note. Plenty of hop flavor in this one. The Saaz are nicely featured. The body is light and crisp. Dry without some relief from a touch of sweet. I do not know what the other reviewers were drinking, but this is a fine example of a pils. Definatley will pick it up again.

A - crystal clear pale amber with a nice head
S - sweet malts, grains , spices, and a dash of hops
T - some malts and a faint kick of bitterness at the end.
MF - a bit thin, but very smooth
D - I enjoyed this. Very light and easy to drink. Nothing too big or overpowering.

Pours out a clear light amber, tight creamy white head that fades away.

Aroma of biscuity crystal malt, some wafer and light wet grassy hops.

Flavour is also a consistent biscuity wafer malt, only faintly bookended by light grassy hops, the hops are there but seem to be phoning it in until the aftertaste, where they truly shine.

Mouthfeel is medium-bodied while adding a bit of kick as well, a nice added boost.

Overall a slightly above-average pilsener, but it holds its own. Middle-of-the-road without being mediocre, definitely leaning more towards the malt side in the end.

A clear golden beer with a thick offwhite foam that leaves quite some lacing.

The smell is rather pure hops and malt.

The taste is more complex, some sweetness from the malt, an acid citric taste and a good bitterness.

It has a good refreshing carbonation.

A drinkable rather well balanced pilsner.

This is a tasty, more darkly malty lager with character resembling a good English bitter as much as a pilsner.

Light amber, it has a big, off-white head that slowly shrinks to a thin top, leaving some lace.

The aroma is mostly toasty grain with bread, a hint of caramel, leaves, pine, citrus, and flowers. The citrus is mostly lemon with a little grapefruit.

The taste is surprisingly earthy, with toasty bread, caramel, leaves, a little pine, and a quite a bit of citrus, particularly lemon with a hint of grapefruit. After starting light, the bitterness soon increaseas to make a very nice balance of hops and malt.

Standard clear gold and a nice head. Smell is grassy-grain, metallic, with a vegetable-skunkiness to it. Taste is grainy, but fairly bland from what you would expect from the style. Below average in this crowded and poorly represented style. I think these beers need to be sampled fresh, closer to the brewery. Getting shipped across the Atlantic doesn't do much to improve this style, IMO.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a pint glass.

Pours clear straw golden with light white foam. Transparent.

Very light citrus scent, but modest.

Clean crisp light balanced taste- not watery, but vey light. Small citrus hop notes - clean but flavorful. Well carbonated.

Very drinkable czech pils.

Krušovice Imperial 12° has a medium, soapy, slightly off-white head, a mostly clear, amber appearance, bubble streams, and some splotchy lacing left on the sides of the glass. The aroma is of dank, somewhat turned, pungent barley malt, and hop oil. Taste is of sweet, bready malt, grassy hops, and a touch of hop extract, I think. Mouthfeel is medium and oily, and Krušovice Imperial 12° finishes semi-dry, easy drinking, a bit filling, and terrifically good. Overall, I love it!

500ml bottle bought from The Vineyard, Belfast...

Poured a medium gold / orange colour... White head disappeared almost instantly...

Aroma - Pretty non-existent. Can just about make out some hops and some saltiness. Also some metallic notes...

Taste – Some hop bitterness, some nuttiness, salty, very light malts...

Feel - Quite sharp. Medium bodied. Pretty drinkable...

Overall - A very average beer... worth a try maybe once....

A clear, dark golden beer with a settling thin head. Typical for a pilsner.

Smell is strong malty with a little sulfur and some decoction Maillard products.

Taste is strong malty which makes the beer quite big, but doesn't interfere with the drinkability. The malt is grainy, a bit caramellized and has a bready, crusty taste. A clean bitterness, which is just a little bit soapy.

App: Gold lager

Smell: I have had this beer numerous times, and like it much better off the tap. Smells like your typical Czech lager.

Taste: Good taste, but kind of soapy.

Mouthfeel: Nice, pleasant lagery kind of feel.

Drinkability: Tastes better after a few seconds even. Good, but not great.

Solid in a bottle, much better off the tap.

Pint .9 oz bottle with gold foil.

Pours a beautiful crystal clear gold with hints of amber and amazing active bubbles. Nice bright white 1 finger head. This is what a pilsener should look like, a beauty. This beer glistens.

Scent is standard pils, nice noble hops and a malt backbone. It has good harmony but could be better.

Taste is standard pils, very nice hops but not without the malt. Bread and spice.

Pilseners are simple but amazing beers, this one is average I think in this category.

The beer comes in a dark amber color with a fluffy white head.

The aroma has lager yeast, a spicy hop quality, a grainy quality.

The flavor is very spicy in the front of pepper and herbal qualities. Green grass throughout with drying qualities on the back. There’s a bit of sweetness in the middle along with a touch of a bready malt.

The back carries much drying and hints of herbal and grassy bitterness.

A decent representation of the style, but I imagine that this bottle being 6 months old has caused it to lose some of hop qualities.

Standard brown half liter bottle with a silver and red, pretty plain label and foil around the neck. Purity law applies here. Best before date is 12/19/03, I opened it on 9/3/03.

Pours a slightly reddish clear gold under a white head that maintains some body for a little while before dissipating into a thin film across the top. A couple of spots of lace cling to the side. The nose is weak - there's some malt there, but really not much/enough. The mouth is nicely carbonated and even. The initial taste is malt, but the hops are there from the start, giving a nice flowery bite in the finish. The amazing thing, though, is the aftertaste, which kicks in a full 30 seconds after the liquid goes down. Smooth bitterness overwhelms the mouth from the throat up and forward. Wow! I could drink a lot of these!

From a 500 ml. bottle and poured into a pils glass. Shows a deep and clear straw with an inch of soapy white head. Retention and lacing are moderate to strong.

Clean and sweet lager nose with some light grainy malts and a bit of breadiness. Notable noble hop nose, clean and grassy. Fairly dry in flavor and with a light hop bitterness that balances well with a moderate malt backbone. Solid feel and drink, nice example of the style that doesn't overwhelm.
