A: Pours a golden, amber in color with a good amount of foamy head that dissipates to a thin layer of cream. Lacing is left around the glass as you drink. Very low carbonation.

S: Smells of sweet malts and grains, vanilla and some astringency.

T: Taste is similar to the smell. This is a very simple beer with a good sweet malt backbone and some dry hop crispness on the end.

M: Light in body with low carbonation. Creamy on the tongue.

D: This is a very drinkable, light and refreshing pilsener, but it really offers nothing spectacular and comes off a bit dull.

Brought a can of Krusovice Imperial home from a recent trip to Europe. The beer was golden cleal with foamy white head to start, which then faded. There was some initial lacing but eventually that ceased as well. The smell was malt and maybe a hint of some czech hops. The taste begins with a smooth malt taste that just stays throughout the whole taste. Mouthfeel was good had nice carbonation and was medium bodied....smooth. Overall was a good beer and would recommend it.

Bottle sample thanks to Milos- A medium deep and clear gold with a fizzy bleached white cap. Nose of grassy hops, saaz, lemon, fruity pale malts. Tastes quite hoppy and grassy, a bit floral, lemon and biscuit follow. Very clean tasting with a pleasant bitterness that lingers. A good session beer. Thanks Milos!

A: It poured clear golden yellow with a thin white head, which dissipated rather quickly. A moderate level of carbonation is visible.
S: There are light aromas of malt and noble hops in the nose.
T: A light amount of bitterness from the floral hops is the main flavor, but is nicely balanced by the underlying malts, which taste biscuity.
M: It feels rather clean, crisp and light-bodied on the palate. There is some dryness in the finish.
D: The beer is rather refreshing and easy to drink. I'm not sure if I would call it sessionable, because the taste was a bit bland and could not keep my interest for more than one.

Golden yellow body topped with a thick, chunky, creamy white head. Lightly toasted malt grain and somewhat grassy smell. Grainy flavor with a smooth hop bitterness at the finish. Light and smooth body; crisp, clean, dry finish.

Krušovice doesn't break any new ground for the style yet is certainly quite drinkable and solid representation of the style.

Glassware-Pilsner glass
Appearance-Poured into the glass and got a golden colored beer that had a nice white frothy head that said "drink me up".
Smell-The smell had an inviting flavor of hops and a sweeter scent that lingered.
Taste-The taste of this beer wasn't what I was expecting consideing the appearance. it was average at best nothing to memorable here.
Mouthfeel/Drinkability- This beer is easy to drink no surprises here. If I am ever in that area of the world I don't know if I would try this particular beer but never say never.

App: Gold lager

Smell: I have had this beer numerous times, and like it much better off the tap. Smells like your typical Czech lager.

Taste: Good taste, but kind of soapy.

Mouthfeel: Nice, pleasant lagery kind of feel.

Drinkability: Tastes better after a few seconds even. Good, but not great.

Solid in a bottle, much better off the tap.

500ml bottle

A- Pours a dark golden orange color with an off-white head. A little darker in color than most Czech Pilsners that I have treid.

S- The aroma is grainy malt with some spicy grassy hops. Pretty standard for a Czech Pilsner, but that definitely is not a bad thing.

T- The taste like the aroma features some malt with a quick crisp spicy hop finish. Not bad.

M- The mouthfeel is light bodied with a good amount of carbonation.

D- I am a big fan of good Czech Pilsner beers. This one is very drinkable and one that I wouldn't mind having again.

Clear golden colour, medium white head, some lacing, pretty average. Aroma is malty with some hops in the nose, grass, straw. Flavour is malty, but more hoppy than the aroma indicated, grass and straw and also some funky metallic notes that spoils it a bit. Mouthfeel is crisp with medium bubbles and the liquid isn't particularly sticky. All in all a decent pils that for its price is good value for money.

Serving Type: 1pt .9fl oz bottle

Appearance: Pours a cloudy orange w/ no head but some visible carbonation. No lacing

Smell: Fresh grain and a touch of spice. Very subtle on the nose

Taste/mouthfeel: Starts w/ a big malty crisp flavour that gives way to a slight sweetness at the end of the beer. Malty bread and a touch of hops is what I get out of this beer...sometimes I get a slight smoke flavour. Rather interesting. Very clean tasting and cleanses the palate easily

Drinkability: Enjoyable enough Pilsner that I would have again

This beer was poured from a 500ml bottle at 40º with a born on date on the back label. It produced a slight, white, foamy head which left a little lacing while disappearing. A few small bubbles were still evident after 5 minutes. There was a slight gold coloring with tinges of orange.

Malt and noble hops are detectable at the very first encounter. This is a good example of an attractable pilsner bouquet.

The taste was clean with some sharpness. A slight bitterness could be attributable to the amount of hops.

The taste of malt lingered in the mouth and seemed to marry quite well with the hops. Although this was slightly sharp and bitter there was nothing off in the way it bounced around before being swallowed.

This beer was over a year old according to the born on date but still had a lot left. Lacing continued to impress and the total package was very well put together.

Clear pale yellow color with a thin film of white head.

Grainy malts hit the nose, a vague underlying grapefruity hops smell comes in at the finish.

The taste is graint malt and acidic citrus. Nothing really spectacular about the beer, though it's true enough to style.

All in all, meh. I've had much better pilsners.

Light amber, foamy white head, some lacing and good clarity.

Sweet malt aroma & lager hops along with a bit of corn and grain. Other adjuncts also feature and there is a very slight skunky smell at the end.

Corn and grassy hops along with a semi-sweet taste and touches of citrus. It's not at all skunky tasting despite the aroma hinting at this and the finish is little bit bitter although very crisp.

Light medium bodied with a slightly rough feel to the drink and it had the normal lager bitterness with a slightly dry but crisp finish and medium carbonation.

This one was a average to slightly above average pilsener although miles ahead of most of the mass produced garbage you find in UK supermarkets these days.

500 ml bottle from Riga

Pours gold with large and foamy head, dense patchy lacing, strings of small carbonation bubbles rising, looks perfect. Aroma is straw, light sweet grainy malt and a bit of hops.

Taste is medium malty, some veggies, hints of Saaz hops that become more pronounced at the medium dry finish, weak citrus malt aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light with average carbonation.

Overall, a good and very refreshing Czech Pilsener. I enjoyed this beer a lot and certainly will drink more of it.

bomber served in a standard pint glass. bottled date 04-15-10.

pours a clear, pale golden-yellow with a big (almost 3 fingers) puffy white head with moderate retention and decent lacing. nose is mild, mostly consisting of a grainy/malty aroma with some hops swirling about as well. more of the same in its flavor, with a decided but not overwhelming bitterness to it. crisp, light-bodied mouthfeel. could easily do a few of these. overall, nothing to go wild for, but a nice, unobtrusive pilsner... reviewing with style in mind.

Golden colour, clear, decent sized head, retained some lacing. Aroma was red cabbage and vanilla, this is what I always detect from Czech beers brewed with the Saaz hop. Taste was fairly malt forward, not much bitterness, notes of paint, slightly grainy finish. Well carbonated, smooth but would have prefered a lighter body. Easily to identify as a Czech Pils, lacking something through.

a - nice gold colour with a thich white head after the pour, leaving little gobs of lace down my wine glass.

s - nice. light, bready malts with a whisper of sweetness. doesn't blow me away, but it's above average for the style. very very subtle floral hop on the nose.

t - light malts balanced by dry hoppy bitterness which lingers long into the aftertaste. As I get further into the bottle, the bitter hops start to get on my nerves. The hops throw it off balance. That having been said, if you're having this with a meal, it'll probably be alright.

m - crisp taste, yet somewhere between the low-mid ranges of medium body. impressive body for a czech lager, yet, it's not heavy. As the beer warms, it gains a bit of alcoholic heat, which is bizarre, but not entirely unwelcome.

d - the first few sips of this baby were truly impressive, but it mediocre'd out by the end. Nice but not challenging. No obvious flaws but not inspiring either.

clear gold color with a thin fine head.
aroma a mix of straw and some maltiness, but a bit light on the nose.
flavor starts off with an unfocussed hop bitterness, with a sweet maltiness that smooths things out to a lingering finish. this could be a bit better with some crispness. made me think maybe it was past date, but that wasnt it. mouthfeel is about right for the style.
drinkability isnt bad, but the flavor dulls a bit as it warms.

Poured a big, foamy, off-white head leaves a few thick strands of lace. Transparent golden colored beer holds a few streams of briskly rising bubbles. Pungent herbal and floral hops in the aroma with a touch of pale malt. Light pale malt based flavor with an overriding hop tea flavor throughout. Mouthfeel is light, and finishes almost airy. A decent Pils. One sip it's tastes ok and the next it's pretty good. I would say go for it.

Mildly chill hazed golden beer with a tall white head. So gold in fact it is nearing amber.

Sweet featuring Pilsner malt and lots of toasted grain scent. Herbal hop aroma bordering on bitter smelling and medicinal. A little bit floral smelling but it isn't exactly spicy.

The taste begins malty and a little bitter. The bitterness builds as you drink this and the malt becomes a bit sweeter but nothing obliterates all the other flavors. Good malty bread flavor with Nobel hop jam about sums up the flavor.

The mouthfeel is OK.

Pretty drinkable, I really like a stronger more bitter Pilsner but this will do.

On tap at Radegast Bierhall. I blindly ordered a Krusovice, expecting the Cerny as that is what is usually available but got this instead.

A-A big frothy head sits a top a dark golden brew. Nice looking beer.

S-Straw and grassy hops

T-On the maltier side for a Czech pilsener but it does have a pleasing hop bite which cuts through it. Sulphur ntones are evident as well.

M-Typical light bodied European lager.

D-Not outstanding but serviceable. I prefer the Cerny to this but it is a refreshing Pils.
