A-Well golly... This has the most carbonation I think any store bought beer I've ever had. Not including one beer I overcarbonated. I poured into my sniffer, and 98% of the glass was carbonation. And after the head slowly dissapates, turns out that the beer is clear yellow, with a humungus white head that has great retention and fluffy, rocky lacing all over the glass.

S-Well, hmmm... I'm not sure if it's citrusy hops I smell or just bright fruity esters from the yeast. I do think there is an earthy hoppiness in the nose, but I'm not sure I like the nose in the light that this is an IPA. hmmm...I think I like the nose. I think there is enough hops to call it an IPA...

T-The taste is much like the nose, but with more fruity, spicy esthers in the flavor than the nose. And of coarse a nice light, spicy bitterness that lingers for a good while. There is a huge lemon citrus note from the yeast. Kinda overwhelming the hops in the flavor.

M-The mouthfeel is very bubbly and dry in the finish. Huge carbonation which makes it crispy and refreshing I would think for a hot summer day.

D-Well, hmmmm... This beer is very unique and interesting in every way, and mostly not in a good and pleasing way. I think it goes down well, but I would'nt ever buy this beer again. But I'm glad I tried it. hmmmm... I think it just doesn't have enough hops for me...

330 ml bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 8.3%. Moderately hazy straw colour, huge white head. Sweetish aroma of glucose syrup, Belgian ale yeast and mild spices / spicy hops. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, more distinct hop bitterness than in most Belgian strong pale ales, but well balanced.

Had one bottle of this poured at home after a day of work. Was part of a gift containing a pack of Belgian beers. The beer had a splendid taste, unbelievable smooth taste. ABV is just perfect and the overall vibe was very nice. Definitely gonna buy more of this!

L- I'm glad I poured this 330ml into an outsize glass as even well rested, chilled and poured slowly it has a 10Cm head on it (ps. that held up really well. 10mins post-pour there was a 'chimney' of foam standing above foam below - different! The head is just off-white, the body is pale amber with a very slight haze. Minor sediment appears left in the bottle.
S- It seems quite mild to me, but I likely have some winter congestion. I ask my wife, good nose on her, she agrees it's so light it's hard to distinguish.
T- Somewhat different, in a good way, quite prominent dry hops then into a more expected rich/deep/pungent flavour and then back into balance for a pretty prominent hoppy/rich finish.
F- It's 8.3% and it shows it. It balances that and it's broader richness with more prominent hopping than IME is typical in a high ABV% trad Belgian beer.
O- I really like it. It is neither over-hoppy nor in the slightest cloying/rich/etc, the brewer has hit the point of balance admirably. I'd happily drink this again, thought at £3.97/330ml bottle it would be an occasional treat.

I had a bottle of this (poured into the beer's reserved glass) at the airport in Brussels in May 2018, the night before we flew home. Our hotel was next to the airport so we ate at a place inside. Anyway, the beer had a decent hop paired with the typical flavor of Belgian yeast. It was dangerously smooth at this abv.

I created an account specifically to review this beer. I’ve noticed many bad reviews. It’s fresh when cold. Good fruity, yet bold taste. Fun pop top. Decor looks like something off the Goonies treasure map. No bad notes for this beer. Delicious

Strong and at the same time with a refreshing light body which matches pretty much its hop profile.

Got to be one of the best looking beers, a lovely light body topped with a meringue style head, like the best retaining head I have seen....bulges out above the glass and stays put like a whippy icecream.

Aroma is light and hoppy, refreshing with mild honey.

Taste is a touch disappointing, just hit with alcohol, and at 8.3% I can see why some BA reviews suggest tripel like, it is just very sharpe.

Aftertaste is a continuation of the taste, no hiding from it, it stays with you until your next quaff.

Overall I would say this is a pretty good beer, which could have been better if it had some taste of note, and perhaps dare I say it?, less alcohol!!

Still worth a few bottles of the stuff for sure.
