On draught at The Bier Stein, appearence is a hazly straw yellow with a white head leaving light lace.

Smell is sweet, fruity esters. Some spice notes as well, it really opens as it warms.

Taste is light, clean and classic. The esters dominate and are delicous. The grain is perfect. The orange (peel?) taste is maybe too strong. Moderately phenolic.

Mouthfeel is light and slippery, some crispness. Nicely soft, foamy carbonation.

Drinkability is great a clasic wit exhibiting all the best characteristics. Pretty mich a qentissential seession beer for me, although I could use the orange dialed back a touch.

This beer pours in a light yellow straw color that is quite hazy. Very traditional look.

This batch definitely had issue. Pure diacetyl. I've never had a beer that could be more off than this. You literally think you've walked into a movie theater and you're smelling pure artificial popcorn butter. No other notes.

The flavor follows with a light body. There are some hints of the citrus and wheat, but still dominated by that aroma that takes over the taste.

I complained to the bar about it and got this beer off of my tab. I couldn't imagine that the bar messed it up as it seems to be a brewing problem. I'll definitely re-review when I have this again. Undrinkable obviously with the diacetyl.
