An easy drinking, unexceptional witbier. Hazy yellow body, big fluffy white head with strong retention. Very nice lacing.

Standard nose is full of coriander, clove, yeasty notes, lemon, typical for the style but not particularly aromatic. Taste is as expected, very typical, just a bit of grassy bitterness in the finish, spices, yeast esters, mild citrus notes of orange and lemon.

Crisp but not prickly carbonation, light bodied, clean and dry finish. Nicely smooth on draft.

Again, there are no surprises here, not outstanding for the style but one could certainly do worse.

I picked up this bottle after seeing this in the 1001 beers you have to drink book. I like Wits in general, so this seems like a good one to try.

I poured the wit into a fluted glass, and I immediately get a bunch of head. The coloring is perfect. This is a very light colored beer.

The smell and flavor is excellent. I really enjoy the coriander and orange peel. The flavor really feel light across my pallatte. Bruxelles is not overly complicated, which doesn't affect my satisfaction for this beer.

I recommend this wit. It is one of my favorites, now.

Slightly cloudy platinum white with furry white head. Light notes of lemon zest, herbs and yeast on the nose.
Crackery wheat, more lemon, then grassy hops with a pinch of coriander.
Chardonnay finish and spicy linger. Light, crisp, round.

Nothing really to distinguish this, but nothing wrong either. Not trying to be more than a refreshing quencher, and lacks the cloyingness and headache-inducing ABV of Hoegaadren.

Belgian lawnmower beer.

On tap at Father's Office in Santa Monica, CA.

Pours a murky whitish orange with a 1 inch white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Thin broken rings of lace form on the glass on the drink down. Smell is of jasmine tea, perfume, and light citrus fruits. Taste is pretty much the same and to me this tastes very much like jasmine tea. This beer has a light level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but it really doesn't seem like beer in some regards.

on tap at tapestry in philly

Pours a completely hazed golden straw yellow color with some brighter orange hues. Thinner layering of white head slowly dissolves into wispy film and plenty of lacing on the glass.

Nice, punchy nose with some floral hops and peppery spice. Juicy with orange and citrus. Some sweeter notes with bread and honey.

Floral hoppiness up front with some pepper and spice. Decent amount of citrus washes across the tongue with orange and grapefruit. Hints of wheat and straw with bready malt backbone. Juicy and flavorful in the finish with no alcohol.

Medium body, slightly higher carbonation, refreshing and zesty on the tongue. A highly drinkable and tasty beer - this would be nice on a spring/summer day.

A hazy straw color with a soapy white head. Smells of fresh wheat and a bit of lemon. Sweet bread flavors start the flavors out, followed by some spicy coriander, and a lemony finish. Mouthfeel is smooth. Overall a good witbeer. I would get this again.

A: One of the palest beer I ever had. Very very pale yelow, with big white frothy head. Pretty good retention and lacing.

S: Somewhat reminiscent of "La Find du Monde". There is a good amount of green apple skin like tartness in this. There is also a good amount of coriander, cloves and pepper. Some fresh mint. Some orange juice. Very inviting.

T: Superbly juicy with lots of orange juice and green apple skin. Good coriander, cloves and pepper with the mint being still in there. I'd only add candi sugar to the list.

M: Very light feeling body with medium to strong carbonation. Very refreshing.

O: This might very well be the best witbier I ever had. I had this beer in the fridge for over 12 months, I don't know if it changed anything to the beer because it seems very awesome and the reviews seem to show it's more of a "meh" beer. Anyway...
