The Grant Park MLCC has the biggest selection of beer in Winnipeg, and it it's listed on the website, it'll most likely be here. In fact, sometimes I see beers here that I didn't realize were even available in Manitoba. That said, they don't turnover their stock as fast as some other sotoes, so check the dates! The focus of this store is definitely wine, and that's what the staff seem to know the most about. It's not that they aren't friendly, they just don't have a lot of beer knowledge. Overall though, one of the better Liquor Stores in Winnipeg.

By Manitoba standards this LC has a good deal of beer (tons of macros, a few micros, maybe 40 imports, including only 3 or 4 US beers), but their staff knows little about their selections. Just ask them for a double IPA and watch them look at you oddly. Ask for an IPA and be suggested Alexander Keiths. Most know nothing of the different styles of beers that are out there. I recently read a news article claiming they were sending staff to school to learn about beer. I hope this improves their present situation.

Also, be careful of the age of the beer they are stocking at room temperature as I recently found a case of Paddock Woods Bete Noire that had been packed in Dec 2008. It is presently Feb 2010.
