Bottle into Bruery Tulip

A: Jet black with a decent little head that fades quickly into an almost non-existant ring of small bubbles.
S: AMAZING. Vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, just everything I love in a beer. Sweet notes of ice cream and more vanilla mixed with bourbon. A great smelling beer for sure
T: Follows the nose well, a fantastic combination of vanilla, bourbon and sweet chocolate. The first taste was amazing, followed by each taste being better than the previous. As this warmed the alcohol finally made it's presence known at the end, not hot, but perfectly tied in.
M: This is my only ding, it was a touch thin for me but that is really being picky. There was a slight bit of carbonation which was welcomed.
Overall: I am so glad I got to try this beer, and even more glad that I have another bottle. I am going to see if there are anymore around as I can see myself really going back to this beer multiple times.

A-Black in the glass, two finger brown head and some lacing.
S-Good deal of bourbon, nice chocolate. roasted malt and slight coffee.
T-Very bourbon heavy, nice chocolate and roasted malt as well. Tad bit of vanilla and coffee.
M-Medium bodied and nice carbonation.
O-A middle of the road Eclipse variant. The bourbon really shined through. I was shocked such a bad bourbon made a good beer.

Bottle 1432 of 2010
Appearance: Pours fudge brown with just a hint of bubbly froth; a few spots of lacing
Smell: Vanilla, chocolate and marshmallow underpinned by oaky Bourbon tones
Taste: A hint of roast and we are off into a marshmallow and vanilla world of sweet flavor; boozy harshness picks up, in the mid-palate, with oaky Bourbon tones adding a slightly harsh character; the marshmallow and vanilla sweetness returns to linger in the finish though the Bourbon lingers, too
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation
Overall: A fine beer but this one didn't meet the expectations I had for it; a bit too sweet and a bit too thin
Serving type: on-tap
