Lacks the appearance of beer. Just comes off looking like Brandy. Aroma of dark fruit and wafting alcohol.

Brandy flavors, tons of heat on the palate. Actually better than I expected. Warm up with this on a cold night. Still though, almost everything they barrel is better.

An appearance just like they poured you some brandy (you're a fine girl). No head. Smells like brandy, oak and alcohol.

A big improvement on concentrated evil. Brandy covers up the dark fruit/rubbing alcohol/nail polish vibe from the base beer. Lots of heat nonetheless. Definitely a winter warmer kind of sipper. A few ounces are cool, couldn't imagine delving any further or consuming a 22oz of this.

Had this on tap during the 6th anniversary party.

Looks like brandy! Almost no head to it. Smells like barrel, oak, brandy, dark fruits, high alcohol.

Tasted a lot better than concentrated evil, allowed some of the brandy sweetness to help cover up the figgy/pruney solvent like memories of the base beer. Still had lots of alcohol heat though. Took a hot, bitter dark fruit blech and turned it into something worth savoring. Probably better suited for cold weather than a weekend in May.

A few ounces is good enough of this beer. Its simply a testament to the power of FiftyFifty's barrel program that Todd could turn this into something significantly more drinkable for me.
