Amber pour with slight haziness. Pours with an inch of foam that retains well.
Great nose. Big caramel notes, stewed fruit, leather and a touch of tobacco. Light oxidation and booze, plenty of bourbon.
Palate has a nice mix of caramel and dark dried fruit, leather, cocoa-like oxidation. Pretty strong alcohol at this point; could use more age. Tobacco and faded hops in the finish. Nice full body with medium-low carbonation. Very good.

3L into a snifter. Thanks! Dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of burnt toffee, caramel, vanilla, and bourbon with some treacle and brown sugar. The flavor has a moderate earthy bitterness with more toffee, caramel, and bourbon. Dried dates blend with brown sugar, honey, earth, leather, and raisin. Some alcohol is evident. Upper medium in body with lower medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth and sticky with substantial alcohol warming. Nice stuff.

8oz snifter on-tap at the brewery.
A: Dark raisin brown, thin collar of a head, soft sheets and spotty lace.
S: Bourbon is noticeable on the nose but very mellow and smooth while not being overly boozy.
T: Big notes of raisin and caramel, apple juice, slight chocolate, vanilla, and sweet brown sugar. Leather comes through in the finish, and EC lingers in the aftertaste. I get a little bit of grape and dark fruits as well.
M: Smoother alcohol than the brandy version, super smooth mouthfeel with a full and slick body.
O: Better than the brandy or rye treatments IMO. Super smooth and crazy drinkable. Hopefully I can try this again sometime.
