Great place! We arrived just before 7:00, but the employee in charge of the beer tasting event kept it open for us anyway.
A great, if not horribly large, selection of beer to choose from. Excellent brews from around the world, many of which are not that common. The beer selection is strictly craft and import. Craft tends to be East Coast with some California and Colorado brews thrown in.
I picked up some BrewDog, Brooklyn Brewery, and more importantly, some Irish beers I've never had before, from the Porterhouse (Dublin).
A definite stop for the beer lover if you're in VA Beach. I just wish it was closer to the beach itself. Still, it was worth the fifteen minute drive.

G&G gets my vote for the best bottle shop in Hampton roads. Kevin and Gabe are knowledgeable beer connoisseurs and the selection as well as pricing is the best around. Now equipped with taps and a growler fill station, Grape and Gourmet is my favorite destination when I'm looking to stock my beer shelf!
Keep up the good work guys!

Not near as big of a collection as what's been hyped up about online. Went into the store and looked scanned every beer with nothing really I'd say that was even a somewhat exciting find.

They have an awesome selection, they tell you what they have on the shelves and they're willing to hold a bottle or two so you can make it down there on your own time and not just get lucky. Love 'em!

Easily the best bottle shop in the Hampton Roads area. If it were a little closer to me, I'd be in there every week. Owners Kevin and Deb are very friendly and know their stuff. They are very responsive on social media with new arrivals and requests for holds.

I had just returned from a trip overseas and stopped in to see if I could find the beer I recently had while abroad. I decided to make a quick trip in and ask. Instead of getting a simple "Sorry we don't carry that selection try somewhere else." I got the snobby attitude that my beer of choice wasn't worth being carried. For that I won't ever go back. Sadly it was the owner that I got the attitude from.

Tried this place while on vacation. The people working there were extremely nice and went out of their way to get a 12 pack of the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp for me. (The tough beer to get of the moment)
They had a really nice selection of beer that you were allowed to buy in singles. The only very slight knock that I had was that the cold selection was extremely minimal but they more than made up for it in room temp selection.
I would highly recommend this place to any BAs in the area.

Fantastic bottle shop with a large assortment of styles and a great mix of regional, national and international brews. I'm from NC and hit this place on a recent vacation in VA, I picked up a handful of brews unavailable back home. They've got a very nice selection of Belgians. The customer service was top notch. Definitely a great bottle shop.

Superb customer service that will hold bottles for you either by phone, email, or via twitter. They carry a wonderful selection and are always willing to help you find what you are looking for. I can't speak any more highly of Deborah and Kevin!
Their wine selection is just as top-notch as the beer! You won't be dissapointed!

I've been going here since ~2008 when I got into craft beer. Back then I thought they were expensive, but that was from a fairly inexperienced viewpoint. Now they typically are right in line, and they bottle price everything, and give case discounts. They support local organizatoins too, and often have brewery and winery reps in to talk about their brewery's lineup while doing samplings.
Kevin will give honest opinions on whether you should try a beer based on what you say you like, and even warn you away from older discount beer if he knows you're a hophead. It's always great talking about our local scene and getting insight from him as well.
They have free juiceboxes for kids in the display fridge, nice little perk to keep the kids occupied long enough to take a short peek at the inventory. Great about letting people know about noteworthy new stuff on facebook and engaging with the customers.
Can't say enough good things.

This was on my list as a place to visit while I was down in Virginia Beach. It's a small, cozy little place with wine, beer and mead in good quantities. I was especially interested in their selection of B. Nektar meads since we don't get any in the Philadelphia area. The owners were friendly and even held some bottles aside for me until I arrived once I saw their posts on Facebook. Prices were completely reasonable for the market. Highly recommend this place if you're down in the area. As far as bottle selection goes, this and Total Wine were the best.

Great little store. Asked for a few recommendations on beers that aren't distributed to SoCal and the employee was knowledgeable enough to point me right to them. Talked with him and the owner (man) for a few minutes about craft beer in general and things they can't get there and things I can't get on California. Friendly place. Very good selection for the physical size of the store (not real big). I thought the prices were pretty good, though I don't have anything to compare them to except Ca prices. Definitely recommend this store. I can't imagine many other good beer stores like this are in this area.

Visited while on vacation in Virginia Beach. About 8 miles from VA Beach. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Good selection of quality beers. Didn't really notice a lot of old stock. Everything I got was fairly fresh. (Maybe I just got the popular stuff..). Prices are very reasonable ...being from New York.
Overall a great experience. Previous reviews I had read on this site were pretty spot on. The owner Kevin and his wife were beyond nice and went out of there way when I asked for something I couldn't find.
Wish this place was near me because I would go there all the time.

Stopped by on my home from North Carolina. Beer. Beer. And more beer. Whole right side of store is loaded with craft beers from all over the world. 90% of beers had a rating and small description of the beer. Very helpful for a beginner like myself.
Service was exceptional. After he walked the wall chatting and helping one couple, gentleman was right their to help me. Can't wait to go back next year.

Always a great experience at Grape and Gourmet, very welcoming environment, friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selection and they do a beer tasting every thursday...what more can you ask? My favorite part is they are great about communicating when new beers come out.
I put them down as reasonable in the value category as most of their beers are well priced but some are a little on the high side. Also docked them a bit for having some IPAs that are past their prime on the shelves at regular price, I am really not a believer in the dropping off of an IPA after a month or two, but some are six months old sitting around, it would be better to discount them to rotate the stock.
