It pours a hazy golden color with about a pinky-fingers worth of white head which sinks quickly into a residual ring. On the nose there is a fair amount of malt and a hint of the piney hop profile. On the tongue it is sweet and malty, then comes the hops. Citrusy hop flavor. Mouthfeel is good, could be better with more carb. As it races around in the tongue it seems a bit thin. With regards to the large malt presence and 7.5% ABV, I would expect it to be a little fuller bodied. Nonetheless, it is very tasty. Im quite thankful to have tried this treat, a nice break from all the local IPAs.

Little over a finger of eggshell white to light tan foam, lots of different bubble sizes with a mottled surface, adequate retention, the lacing comes in very broad sheets but then slowly slides down the glass sides. Cloudy coppery orange hued liquid, more gauzy than transparent, widely dispersed fat and sluggish bubbles throughout, has visual “density” to it. Sweet, approachable nose of tangerine, pink grapefruit citrus, cocoa led maltiness, supplemented by less aggressive pine sap and white pepper notes, comes with a credible amount of apricot and peach fruit scents too, it needs to warm up some to release the underlying herbaceous hoppiness. Medium-bodied, somewhat low carbonation gives it a firm mouth feel rather than creamy, however, this is some prickle going on. The white pit fruit has a dried fruit kind of sweetness, same for the pineapple flavors. Semi-tart feel to the orange, tangerine to white grapefruit citrus. Some breadiness and grassy bite, not simple even as it displays its constituent parts clearly. Malty finish softens its contours, very likable and easygoing.

Purchase on vacation from Wine Cheese & More, Chincoteague Island, VA

Pour a transparent but hazy orange with a 1 1/2 finger off white head that leaves some attractive lacing.

The aroma is definitely hop forward. Over ripe citrus and pine. Caramel and sweet malts.

Sweet malts are the backbone, but again the hops dominate. Spicy and piney. Tart citrus and dominant bitter hops in the end.

Medium to medium full in body. Peppery and slick in a good way. Decent alcoho burn.

Definitely worth a repeat. Full in flavor and aroma. Great mouthfeel. Maybe a little more bitter than the usual, but it works. Good balance.

12 oz draft at Whole Foods.

Nice amber color, minimal head that clings to glass.

Not an over powering aroma, mix of sweet malt and hops.

Well balanced taste. Starts a little sweet, followed by medium hop flavor. 7.5% abv well hidden.

Light to medium body. Well carbonated

Overall a nice IPA.
