Had this on 2011-05-31 in Columbia, PA
A - Hazy, golden amber with a 1.5 finger head, some unfiltered floaties and good lacing.
S - Mild caramel and orange citrus.
T - Pretty nice. Some sweet, bready notes quickly give way to a good dollop of citrus then bitter, orange zest. It mostly dries out and leaves a hint of dark chocolate and a favorable amount of lingering bright citrus flavor and orange peel bitterness, which is about my favorite way a good IPA should end. The finish reminds me of a Port City Mongo although not quite as cleansing.
M - Light-medium body and medium carbonation. Just a little creamy but more cutting and a tad prickly.
O - From the light smell, I didn't expect such a bold and crisp flavor. A nice surprise.

A: Pours an ever so slight hazy copper with a nice creamy dense white head. Good lacing, good retention.
S: Predominant grapefruit and citrus aroma with a citrusy orange malt note coming through. slight bit of candied ginger.
T: Grapefruit, pine and citrus in the forefront with a mild earthy hop underbelly. A mild orange malt sweetness fills in the background and fades fairly quickly. Nice lingering bitterness of grapefruit and an ever so slight green apple with a bit of bread crust late in a dry finish. I suspect being a pale beer, the Orange notes are coming from a hops addition.
M: Medium carbonation, not too overpowering. Doesn't bite the tongue. Medium light body with a slight oily finish.
O: Very good example of the style. The hop bitterness is nice and the hops are clean and fresh tasting. The malt notes are a bit underwhelming for my taste. I like a clean separation between the hop bite and the malt presence, the lines are a bit blurred in this area. All I all, It's a well done beer. I myself like a slight bit more malt presence but it's just a matter of personal preference. Still a really nice brew.
