Pours a dark black with a half of a finger dense dark tan head that fades qucikly into a thin ring with very little lacing.
Aroma of dark roasted malt and dark coffee.
Taste starts with a roasty malt and some smoke, followed by sweet chocolate that over takes the hints of coffee.
Mouth Feel is medium body, very little carbonation with a smooth, creamy feel that leaves a sweet after taste. As the beer comes to room temperature it becomes sweeter.
Overall this is a good beer, I was expecting as much sweetness since it was labeled as a coffee stout. It is classified correctly as a milk sweet stout, I believe it would be a much better beer with a touch more coffee.
