Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with a 1 finger tan head that recedes quickly leaving light lacing.

Aroma of rich dark roast coffee and toasted malt with light milk chocolat.

Tastes of ightly sweetened coffee with a bit of milk and vanilla. A little smoky and a decent bitterness of burnt malt.

Medium in body. Milky except for the light prickle of carbonation.

Pretty decent brew. Full flavored and easy drinking.

Poured into a Duvel tulip.

A- Pours a fully opaque motor oil black color with a 1/2 inch medium brown head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a mostly full sheet of surface foam. Not-so-resilient lacing leaves tiny specs behind.

S- Vanilla, coffee and milk chocolate aromas emanate from the glass. There's also an earthy must that's hard to identify.

T- The coffee comes through nicely at first but then is abruptly swept aside by metallic and burnt flavors. Not nearly as tasty as the nose would imply.

M- Slightly creamy with medium carbonation and a full body.

O- A bit disappointed since the aroma and feel are both there but the flavor just does not deliver. I'm actually starting to believe that the house yeast might be at fault here since I've had similar experiences with other beers of theirs.
