A - Black beer that looks slightly brown-hued with a tan head that faded to a very nice looking ring around the side of the beer.

S - Slight bit of toffee, some roast, caramel and a bit of coffee. Smells pretty nice.

T - Not as good as the nose. There's a bit of slight astringency at first, but it fades into a decent coffee taste. There's a bit of milk, lactose, and sweetness. It's not a world beater, but it's a solid beer.

M - Creamy, close to full bodied, lower carbonation. Very smooth.

O - Not a bad beer, but not particularly memorable. Easy to drink, could use a little bit more coffee flavor if it's calling itself a coffeehouse stout.

A: Pretty black for a low abv stout. A nice tan head poofs up, followed by decent lacing.

S: This is really heavy on the coffee, with burnt malts coming through at the end. The coffee is very appealing.

T: A blast of coffee on the front end. It quickly mellows, but is still prevelant. It blends with the burnt malt as it mellows. I'm getting milk with the malt and coffee. Semi-bitter chocolate is there, but not really a key player, since it plays second fiddle to the coffee.

M: Creamy, well carbonated, smooth! Well done and certainly a milk stout's body.

O: This is no doubt the best low abv-less than 7% abv- coffee stout I've had to date. It tastes like a mini breakfast stout with a milkier body. Outstanding.

Thanks! Snifter.

A: Brown bordering on black with a short-lived light brown head.

S: Medium roast coffee with a dash of nuttiness and a restrained earthiness. Sweet dark chocolate blends in nicely with a soft roasted malt presence. Licorice is light.

T: The flavor has a nice coffee and cream combination going on. The coffee seems a medium roast with a dash of earthiness and it's devoid of astringency and harshness. There's some sweet dark chocolate with a touch of brown sugar. The finish is drying with a dash of licorice.

M: Medium body with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth and sticky.

Overall: A nice coffee Stout. Recommended.

A black bodied beer with a small tan head that settles quickly and minimal lacing. Assertive aroma of freshly brewed dark roast coffee and roasted malts. Smells great for a coffee beer, that’s for sure.

Taste begins with a burst of fresh coffee flavor and the accompanying roastiness you’d expect from both the coffee and the malt. Light sweetness, caramel, cream, very faint earthy hops adding to the bitterness. The flavor seems to lack depth to a certain degree; it’s quite vivid upon first tasting but seems to dissipate quickly, leaving me wanting more. Dry finish and minimal aftertaste reinforces this feeling.

Medium bodied with medium carbonation; slightly smooth and creamy. Decent enough mouthfeel, not too big though. I really enjoyed this beer, primarily the aroma and first tasting, but was left feeling like it could have been better. Again, the flavor seems to vanish too quickly leaving you wanting something more. A definite recommendation for coffee fans, though.
