Pours a clear, golden yellow with about 1 cm of white head. Fades quickly but leaves respectable lace.

Smells sweet with citrus dominating.

A lot more bitter than I expected. Kind of hard to pick anything out beyond that - the malt is nearly covered up. More of a pilsener taste than a wheat.

A frothy mouthfeel. Well-carbonated.

Overall, I expected more. Trying not to slam it too much just because I don't really care for the style. More Ale than Wheat on this one I suppose, kind of misleading. (501 characters)

A- Pours out like how you would think a wheat would, a slight yellow with about a finger of head.

S- there was not a very distinct smell

T- Had a slight Hop taste to it, but no as mush as I would have hoped.

D- It is a drinkable beer relatively smooth, but just not for me. (277 characters)

Nice 2 finger white head that sticks around, pale gradient straw-amber body. Laces nicely.

Nose is a bit sour, not too favorable. Slightly bready, trace of fruit.

Quite aggressively hopped for a wheat beer, and I find that out of place. It doesn't work well, and the hops are metallic and overly bitter. There's a malty wheat undertone if you hunt for it, but the more you do, the more macro it tastes. Faint trace of honey.

Feel is fizzy and not great. Not horrible either.

Dang, I really wanted to like this; AleWerks does a lot of fantastic beer, but this wheat is a total let-down. Skip this in favor of their Pumpkin, Coffeehouse Stout, or any of their bombers; all are outstanding. (691 characters)

A decent, light wheat. ABV is 5.70%. It is a strong wheat as far as abv, but is not as flavorful as other wheats I have had. Overall, a nice tannish-orange color and great head. Flavor has some subtle citrus but not as much wheat flavor as I would expect. Overall, a mild, very very drinkable beer (297 characters)

Poured from the bottle into a wheat ale glass.

An absolutely unique and remarkable color for a wheat ale. Makes a classic foamy white German style Hefeweizen like head, thick and fluffy and even pin head bubbled. The body color is just like the label. Brass orange and deep crystal clarity with rocking long rising carbonation. As the head settles a perfect foamy ball appears with thick icing and lacing. This sucker wont quit. Throwing in the last of the sediment we return to a bit more of course opaque and classic looking wheat. Gorgeous looking beer.

What an enjoyable nose on this beer. Soft apricot like fruit and juicy orange. Nice chewy malt sensing body and very clean. Feels ready to dive in.

Palate hits with a bit of neutral, safe, and somewhat unexpected average ability. Matching senses on the nose come down quite subdued, and a little runny. Chalky orange taste, and some flat watery hop finish. Real dry aftertaste and strangely citrus parching. Mineraly tang like finish a bit, and some floral notes to go with it. Really missing some chewy wheat depth here unfortunately.

With all this great senses before hand the beer feels like it's going to be something great. But in the end it all comes up to being a bit better than average. It is however, a gorgeous looking and smelling brew, and I am still blown away by how much this brewery does so many different styles so uniquely and real well. (1,417 characters)

Purchased on vacation from Wine Cheese & More, Chincoteague Island, VA.

Almost clear and golden in color with a 5 finger chunky white head that leaves thick bubbly clumps of lacing.

Incredibly fresh tropical /grassy hop aroma backed by ltart wheat.

The taste falls short of the aroma. Typical tart wheat, with a bare hint of clove. No banana. Bitterness holds it together though, in the end. I kicked it up a notch to 3.5.

Rather full bodied for the style. Call it medium. Peppery and very astringent and drying on the tongue with warming alcohol/carbonation in the throat.

First taste was a bit disappointing, but it turns out to be a decent beer after all. Not incrediblyl complex, but it has enough going on to keep me interested. I would try it again. (760 characters)

Poured into a pint glass. Bottle.

3.75 A: Well hazed yellow-orange-brown color. Two and a half fingers of frothy foamy off-white head. Retention is good and lots of lacing is left.

3.5 S: Big floral, piney hops with grapefruit and a touch of generic underneath. Neutral wheat maltiness. Definitely a hop forward brew we have here.

3.25 T: Again hop forward, but with a low bitterness. Floral hop flavor dominates with just a touch of pine, earth, and grapefruit underneath. Yeasty breadiness.

3.25 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy and a touch chewy. Good enough here.

3.25 D: Fairly standard hop forward APWA. Nice drink, but nothing special. (689 characters)

Acquired at the brewery. Nice place. I got five different brews that day. This one and the other three which weren't Springhouse ale, had the same base flavor. Could it be from the water? Poured from the bottle into my AleWerks pint. Dark golden color with moderate head. Not much lacing. Smell and taste were both wheat/malt. Slight balance of hops but mostly wheat and malt. Mouthfeel was thin and easy to drink. Nice brew but just basic. No more no less. (457 characters)

Aroma orange, malt, hay, faint floral, yeast, & bubble gum. Taste slighty sweet citrus, yeast, hint of tartness & honey, slight bitterness. (139 characters)

Enjoyed this 12oz bottle out of a Belgian tulip glass.

A: Pours a slightly hazy golden hue with a thick, 3-finger, white hue that slowly dissipates down the side of the glass leaving a great trail and ending in a solid persistent lace.

S: Surprising hoppy aroma mixed with a bready malt scent.

T: Smooth and slightly bitter hoppy wheat flavor that finishes on the tart side of dry.

M: Medium body and medium carbonation.

O: Surprising the was a really good wheat ale. I usually avoid wheat brews at all cost but this one had a really good hop bite that made it really tasty. (580 characters)
