Poured a light orange body with decent head and lace thanks to some lively carbonation. The first thing that hits me in the nose is some white grape aromas, like wine, then this gives way to a more pronounced tropical fruit aroma like pear or mango and there is some grainy hop bitterness and spice. Body is light and crisp, not too sharp from some orangish-citric hops and spice, the fruit flavors are really good here (again I want to say white grape) with pear, mango, maybe even pineapple along with good touches of candi sugar sweetness. The balance is there but only knocks on this triple is lack of complexity (it's really just some sweetness from fruit and sugar) and at times the alcohol bled into my drink and gave off a real boozy finish.

Good American take on a Tripel. Poured into my Chimy goblet. Clear orange color. Minimal delicately bubbly white head with average retention. Little lacing.

Big aroma of light fruit...apples/pears/apricot and Belgian yeast

Flavor is solid as well. Rich, fruity, plenty of yeast presence

Mouthfeel is rich and smooth. No alcohol presence beyond a little warming.

Well worth trying...more than once.

This is getting awesome reviews so far.

Served in a Port City glass.

A: Crystal clear orange color with almost no head at all. I watched the sucker melt before my eyes.

S: Really nice Belgian component with some citrus sprinked in as well. Overall, this was like a nice bowl of corn flakes.

T: So, so smooth. Seriously, this is one of the best tripels I've had in a while, which is a admittedly a tough sell for me. Not too sweet, just pure Belgian yeast strain with a very fresh disposition!

M: Low carbonation, but I guess this brew is all about that. Absolutely no booze detected and no upfront sweetness.

O: Totally surprised here. Alewerks knows how to shock the living hell out of folks quite often.
