Really good vibe with plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor. Service was excellent, bartenders are knowledgeable about their beers. Nice selection of beer, with seasonals choices.

Good selection of experimental beers had a pickle beer tasted just like dill pickles. Music started at 4:00. Plenty of seating indoors or outside

Vibe: I stopped by the brewery on the afternoon of July 4th and it was crowded, but there still enough seating available in the long high-top tables. It seemed like a local hangout and there were a lot of families there with their kids.
Quality: Beers were served in snifter glasses at the proper temperature.
Service: The bar had a dedicated area for ordering beers to bring back to tables so it was quite easy to get more beer and there was never a long wait.
Selection: The brewery had about ten beers available on tap, five of which surprisingly were stouts.

I was pleasantly surprised with this brewery. It is a small, local brewery with a great selection! Whether you like and IPA, wheat beer, lager, ot stout you will find something for you. My parents and I visited last week on vacation and were very happy to see such a selection. I generally like an IPA and my parents obly drink lagers while my brother dribks stouts. You will absolutely find something for everyone. The service is wonderful and I was lucky enough to meet the master brewer. I will defiantly be back when I am in the Williamsburg area again.

This is a rating of the original tasting room (read: not the outlet center).
My partner and I have visited Alewerks countless times over the past several years. As of this year, we are mug club members and plan on getting our money's worth. The tasting room has expanded significantly since its inception and the offerings on tap are varied and generally of high quality. Service is typically prompt and friendly, and the general vibe is chill. As with any decent brewery, it gets a bit busy on the weekends, but it's definitely worth a visit if you are in the Williamsburg area. Warm pretzels are available and on weekends, there is a local food truck (usually at least of okay quality). In short, this spot is one of our favorites within an hour radius from our house due to their consistency on quality, service, and chill factor.

Beers taste over carbonated. Flavor is hidden in the over bearing carbonation, but the beers are not bad. I enjoyed the superb IPA, though not a great IPA, it did have good flavor but no real exciting Hoppy punch. It was overly carbonated and not pleasant to the palate. Their porter was well made and less carbonated. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn’t so turned off by their IPA before hand.

V - A decent vibe - the night I went it was a lot of local college kids on one side and the more older adults on the other - however the location is in a more industrial part of Williamsburg off the side of a road in what reminds me of a small strip mall - it's hard to describe. A smaller brewery for sure - but nothing offputting.
Q - Their beers have always impressed me - nothing over the top, but lots of very solid choices that always seem quality.
S - Fast and friendly service, can't ask for much more than that.
S - When I was there they roughly 12 beers on tap in addition to a bunch of brews to buy in growlers, 4, and 6 packs. Styles ranged from IPA, to barrel aged, to stouts, porters, pumpkin ales, holiday ales, etc. Overall a very nice selection that would likely keep anyone happy.

Nice place to relax at on a weekend afternoon as they have a decent vibe and seating area and it's not in a crowded part of town so parking/driving there is not an issue. Staff is friendly and the selection is limited to their beers but they do offer some stuff you normally don't get in stores/bars.

Drove down for their annual Barrel Age Pumpkin Ale release to give it a try. I've always liked Alewerks' stuff so I was excited to see the facility. The place is located within a small industrial park type of area. The tap room isn't huge but large enough to hold a good crowd of people. The service was very nice. The draft and bottle selection was also quite good too. Overall I enjoyed checking the place out.

My wife and I stopped here on our beercation to try their beers. The pub is located just off a main street among other light industrial buildings. We arrived in the early afternoon on a Sunday and the place was not busy. We decided to sit at the bar, and the service was very good. There was something about the interior vibe that I really liked, but I don't know how to describe it.
There were 9 beers on tap plus a cask offering. We chose a sampler flight of 6 beers so that we could try most of them in order to arrive at an overall evaluation of their beers. All of the beers were brewed very well to their respective style, and we ended up giving all of them a B or a B-minus grade so that a B grade was given for the overall score. The notables were Weekend Lager, Chesapeake Pale Ale, Paycheck Porter and Berlinerweisse.
No food is served here, but a food truck was already set up and looking for customers. I made a note that a rotation of trucks are scheduled, so the day of the week determines the menu. Some packaged snacks, a meat plate, salsa & chips, peanuts, and a soft pretzel are sold in the pub. If you are doing the touristy thing in the area, a visit here is recommended.

Awesome beer selection and variety. Fun atmosphere with group corn hole being played outside. Food trucks often brought in and the food I had was great. Service from the bar, but still friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of seating (booths, tables, and bar). Music and games on hand.

Been there 3 times now and am finally thinking I can review now. Very decent brewery. For my tastes I have generally only found one, maybe two, that I would want a growler of. I've been lucky enuff to be there and get some seasonals and I really like some of those. Worth going to. Nice atmosphere, knowledgable staff and fun talking to fellow travelers.

Tap room has a medium sized bar with a few tables surrounding it. There's an outside patio as well where they set up music at times. The service is always friendly in the few times I've been here, and people will come from the back to help if it gets a little busy.
The brewery has a nice core lineup selection, more on the pale than dark side. These offerings fall into the solid, mostly to style, easily accessible type. Their rotating and special beers generally shine well on their own. The tap room usually has 4-5 special beers to compliment their core lineup of about 8 beers.

Nice little taproom with outdoor seating. Bartenders are very attentive and knowledgeable about the different beers. 10 beers on tap of various kinds. It is small and gets crowded on a Friday afternoon.

Just visited the brewery for the third time. The space is very nice since they refinished the tasting room. There is also a nice outdoor area on nicer days. The selection is always fantastic. I love a handful of their staple beers like Washington's Porter and the Tavern Ale, but the specialties are what really keep me coming back to Alewerks.

Fairly quiet and unassuming little place with about a no nonsense layout as you could ask for. Friendly, prompt straightforward service as well. Nice tap lineup, good to go selection. Two items of note - get a pretzel, you have no choice in this, just do it. They are fantastic. Second, this place is within spitting distance of the Williamsburg outlet mall. Seriously consider dropping off the shopping party (or have them drop you off) so everyone can enjoy the day.
