12 oz bottle into a Piraat tulip.
A: Very pale straw color with pinkish-peach tones. Little head, no lace.
S: At first this smells very berry-ish, but given time to breathe it gives way to a decent malty presence.
T: The berry flavor is okay. Not overwhelming or artificial. The malt profle is light and slightly sweet with only the most vague bitter at the end.
M: Very, very drying. Highly carbonated and thin. Not very reminiscent of beer.
D: Overall okay and inoffensive, but not great.

One of six different styles included in a Brau Brothers Brewing 12-pack sampler.
Poured from a 12 oz. longneck bottle into a standard pint glass.
Appearance: A nice clear deep golden color. Started with a one finger white head that receded quickly and left a little lacing as it settled to a frothy white cap.
Smell: Sweet, wheaty and obvious strawberry scents. Smells good, like real strawberries.
Taste: Very sweet up front and very malty and wheaty. A bit thin and watery for a wheat beer, and beyond the sweet strawberry and wheat flavors there's not much more going on. Not my favorite kind of style, but I can see where someone that prefers a lighter sweet and fruity beer would like this.
Mouth feel: A bit thin and watery with high carbonation. Pretty average.
Drinkability: Not the style of beer I would do a session with, so this was 'one-and-done' for me, but I can see how fans of this style would enjoy it. It's refreshing, sweet and low alcohol.

A clear pale golden liquid with a finger of white head that faded really fast.
The nose is buttery wheat, some slight strawberries, and a little metallic.
The first gulp gives me more buttery wheat. Some slight strawberries and cream notes, a little yeast spice. It's a little skunky as well, but I don't think it's actually "skunked". It's still really quenching though.
Mouthfeel is thin with light carbonation.
Not something I'd reach for again, but it wasn't the worst wheat beer I've ever had.

Pours slightly hazy, pale yellow color with a small white head that quickly settles to a thin cap. No lacing is left on the glass. There is a definate strawberry aroma coming off this beer. The strawberries do not come out as well in the flavor. The fruit barely peaks out from the wheat malt. It does have a slightly tart finish. Fairly light bodied bordering on thin and watery. I would of liked more flavor out of this beer. As it is now, it is just ok.

A- Pale golden, slightly hazy but mostly clear, thin head that quickly disappears
S- Slight hints of strawberry
T- Slight hints of strawberry again...without much of a wheat backing. In fact, there was not much of any backing. It was just pleasantly subtle strawberry.
M- A bit thin, almost watery
I felt strange as I was drinking this beer. As I did not really enjoy it, it seemed like it should be rated lowly (not enough flavor, thin and watery body), but I could see someone really liking this on a really hot day, sipping a 6 pack on a porch or at a pool party. As a single beer, there isn't enough going on, as 6 bottles on a hot day, I am sure it would be fine.

Poured from bottle into pint glass
A- Dark yellow with a bright white head that went away fast
S- Fruity Pebbles?
T- Initially taste like your typical wheat beer but then strawberry does overtake the flavor.
M- Light in body and not much carbonation
D- Fair drinkability, not a style I personally would go out of my way for. For what it is, it's good. I made a strawberry wheat beer once and this is better than what I made.

Brau Brothers Strawberry Wheat pours a mere disk of creamy foam over
a cloudy yellow brew. Carbonation is very active, and the nose is the very
familiar funky yeast common to the style and wheat malt. The flavor is tart
and fruity, though the fruit seems more like citrus than strawberry, though
it is more evident in the aftertaste, which makes an interesting transition
from citric tartness to an almost creamy, velvety feeling. The mouthfeel is
crisp and very dry as well, probably due to the added fruit. This is a really
intersting divergence from the usual wheat syles I've been tasting a lot of
lately. Could be it's an aquired taste, but it might be worth it to get a sixer
and get aquainted.

Poured a hazy dull gold with a good size white head that faded quick.
The nose was wheat and fermented fruits with sweet strawberries being the dominant flavor. I couldn't help but compare the scent to those crunchy malt easter egg candies.
Flavor was pretty tame but several different flavors emerged. First off was strawberry extract and yeastiness followed by a vanilla and doughnut-like sweetness and a bit of a grainy malt finish.
Body was light and somewhat watery yet the carbonation kept it tingly and purposeful throughout.
It could almost double as strawberry sparkling water, thus making it drinkable and refreshing but nothing that will knock your socks off.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a becker glass.
A: Slightly hazy, pale golden color with one finger of diminishing white foam head. lacing remains on the glass.
S: Wheat is distinctly unmodified in the mild nose, with other fresh botanical qualities that are more herbaceous than strawberry. Taken together, the perfume reminds of children's breakfast cereal.
T: Begins dry, with soft grain and mild bright fruit that is enhanced by the metered and appropriate acidity. Flavors tend to vanish rapidly as acidity fades, leaving just a slightly saccharine residue on the palate.
M: Thin viscosity, wet but a bit lifeless on the palate, with low carbonation.
D/O: This is clearly an entry-level beer for drinkers that do not prefer beer. It is criminally inoffensive; in fact, it even understates the strawberry qualities it displays. A brewery that wishes to be taken seriously in the craft market ought to not brew such an apologetic contribution to an already struggling style.

This brew pours a cloudy pale orange-golden color. The head is rather small for a wheat beer; only about a half inch tall. Lacing is sparse. The aroma is a soft strawberry with a faint hint of wheaty tang in the background. The taste is very subtle. Wheat is present during the sip with a very faint touch of strawberry in the finish. The mouthfeel is dominated by excessive carbonation which overpowers the light body of this beer making it seem even lighter. A more experienced beer drinker than myself once said something along the lines of, I can tell you if a beer is quality made, and I can tell you if I like it, but they arent always the same answer. I can tell that this beer is of high quality, but I still do not like it. This is obviously the beer in Brau Brothers line up that is meant to be approachable by not craft beer drinkers. Thus, I am not the target audience, so it really doesnt matter if I like it or not. I can say that I think this is a lot better beer than Leinies Sunset Wheat, which is along the same style.

A- Hazy golden, with a thin white head that disappears pretty quickly.
S- The smell is actually a very pleasant balance of strawberry and wheat. It's a bit sweet on the nose, really much like strawberry jam on white bread.
T- The taste comes across as much more artificial. The wheat comes through a bit in the finish, but up front, it's all sweet, overly sugary strawberry, almost strawberry soda quality.
M- Fizzy, but by midsip it's become watery. Light body.
O- Didn't care for this one. It smells great but is not particularly enjoyable in any other sense.
