Poured from 750 mL bottle into pint glass.
A: Pours a nice brown hue with 1-2 inch frothy tan head with excellent retention.
S: Blackberry, raspberry, roasted malts…very much smells like a berry pie.
T: After a quick burst of blackberries and raspberries, the toasted and roasted malts emerge. Almond nuttiness and a hint of vanilla.
M: Light body. Berry and malt sweetness. Slightly dry. Light roasty bitterness.
D: Very much a dessert beer. An interesting brew and fairly straightforward. Decent summer brew.

Nice dessert beer here. I can only describe it like biting into one of those raspberry filled chocolates in the Christmas chocolate gift sampler.
Not immense in body and the light carbonation does not add much in that regard. Kind of flat carbonation.
The blackberry notes are sweeter rather than tart. Decadent. A step up in body and weight and this would be a real treat. As it is it is quite enjoyable.

Brau Bros Rubus Black Blackberry Porter, 8.9% ABV, 28 IBU. Pours thin and dark brown, no head, no lacing. Nose is blackberry and malt. Taste is blackberry, malt, slight chocolate, slight sweetness, some closing bitterness. Carbonation is pretty heavy, so mouthfeel is just OK. Overall a decent berry porter.
