A-Nice light golden color...good clarity...minimal head....decent lacing

S-Bready/crackery malts...Brau Brothers yeast strain impression as well.

T-Decent malt flavor for a light lager. Bready...hints of caramel from the yeast I believe..

M-Real impressed here....clean...decent weight for a light lager...just slightly watery on the finish.

O-One of the better light beers you can find particularly if you like the flavors imparted by the Brau Brothers yeast strain....nice malt forward light beer that drinks clean and is thirst quenching. I know these guys are small but would love to see this in affordable 12 packs of cans. Light beer crowd won't be into this and doubt there are enough craft beer lovers who would support that as well so it is probably a pipe dream. Ratings are per style (aka ompared to bud light, coors light, etc)

This is a decent all-malt lager. Clean and crisp flavor that goes down easy. Could use a little more excitement in the aroma and flavor catagories, but for a light beer, cannot expect much. Clear straw color with minimal head but some lacing is left down the glass. A little sweet malt and grain in the aroma and flavor, but not much for hops. Light body with nice lively carbonation. Heck of a lot better than (insert whatever BMC light beer you want) and priced surprisingly attractive for a beer from a craft brewer.

Poured from a bottle into a pilsner glass with a foot.

Pale straw brilliant clarity.
Very little foam retention. Nice lacing though.

Bubblegum and bananas.
Maybe some lager sulfur in the background. Lager yeast? More like Belgian yeast to me.

Clean balanced and crisp. Again not a lager at all, more like an easy drinking belgian table beer. Farm house style, but without the head retention. Nice pilsner malt showcase though. High class.

This would rank terrible in a lager category. But like a monks table beer, this is astounding. Let's just call it pleasantly confused.

12 oz Bottle poured into a warm glass

A: golden straw yellow

S: very mild

T: light bodied very nice for the style. Better than most light domestic beers

M: light body and smooth

O: Refreshing, something to drink if you are out on the lake or camping. It is what it is a nice well made beer for the masses.

This beer pours a clear straw color that is a hair darker than all other light lagers I've tasted. The head is a quarter inch in height, and vanishes within seconds. The aroma is of butterscotch and caramel. I'm not sure if the butterscotch is intended or not, and it sure isn't to style, but I do like it here. The taste is of pale malt with hints of caramel and butterscotch. The mouthfeel is light bodied with a velvety texture, and moderate carbonation. The feel is the real highlight of this beer. Overall, this is by far the best light lager I've ever had. It has more flavor, aroma, and color than others of the style, but without having so much that it ceases to be a light lager. I can't see myself drinking this again as it is still too light for my tastes. However, I would not hesitate from suggesting it to someone who likes light beers.

Tap at the Stone Arch Bar in the Depot - MInneapolis, MN.

A - Poured a clear, golden color with a fluffy white head of foam. Sudsy sheets of lace.

S - It smelled of caramel, grains and floral notes.

T - Sweet pilsner taste of caramel and grains. A light hop bitterness.

M - Crisp and sharp. A light bodied lager.

O - I could see how this would be a popular option in a hotel bar. A tasty sessionable light lager.

A perfectly quaff-able lawnmower beer. Nothing more and noting less.
Very light color and mostly clear. Really a minimal head.
Soft aroma and fairly non-distinct. More malt and no apparent hops.
Soft malt and distinct yeast characteristics of this brewery. I'm left with the impression this is a hybrid yeast as it doesn't run as clean as I'd expect a typical lager yeast to run. But the yeast flavors, once adapted to, do not ruin the beer. Hopping is largely to cut sweetness and there is not apparent flavor contribution that I can pick up.
Light body as expected and not heavily carbonated.
As noted a perfectly fine beer for a hot day, with a distinct local quality. I'll give another go to this and see if I pick up anything else, meaning I will try this again.

Acquired this from Sinatra716 via Show Me What You're Made Of BIF so a big THANK YOU goes out to him!
Poured in a pint glass

A: This beer pours a crystal clear pale straw yellow with a 1/3 inch of bone white sudsy head. Head recedes immediately leaving the most minor of wispy lacing.

S: Nose is light grain notes with a bit of spicing, odd, but I swear I am picking up belgian spiced notes.

T: Taste starts off with a light but very prominent Belgian spicing. Odd, so didn't see this coming. Taste then moves in to something similar to an adjunct lager. Light breadiness, pale malts, and then grain really takes over in the finish.

M: Light bodied, medium carbonation, thin light crisp feel with a slightly watery finish.

O: Goes down very easy, ok tasting, not filling, not much kick, but a nice representation of style. This isn't a beer that I would seek out, but definitely one that I could see as a nice option in a restaurant that could reach out to the BMC drinkers.

Pours a very pale yellow with a nice small head. The aroma is corny and lightly fruity but really pretty faint all around. The flavor is corny and a little asringent, some toasty malt comes through to save the day. It’s a fine enough pale lager, not as sexy as the offerings in this style from Capital and Schell but getting there.

From the Brau website:

This easy drinking light lager has been around Lucan for years. Old 56 has been a staple at Lucan's local watering hole and by popular demnad, we have brought this beer out of retirement. This beer is all malt and unlike other lighter beers, contains no adjuncts. Named for the iconic fire truck that served for over fifty years on the LFD, this beer truly represents dedication, reliability, and lasting consistancy.

On tap at the Brauhaus.

Pours a pale golden color with a thin off-white head that leaves little lace.

Light grainy smell with a hint of hop bitterness. Pretty straightforward.

Light grainy malt with a kiss of bitterness from the sterling and willamette hops. Definitely a light lager.

Light, but more body than the typical adjunct. Smooth feel with a little carbonation.

Drinks well for what it is. This is definitely as advertised and represents the style well. A well crafted beer that is not aimed at the craft beer drinker. I personally would not have this again, but it's not made for me either. A good choice for the typical BMC drinker though.
