from 12 oz bottle to pint glass
Big thanks to millah for sending this along as an extra

Color: A very Dark brown, no light shines through. A cream cto khaki colored 2 finger head forms after pour. Very little lacing.

Nose: A gentle roastiness followed by a sweet creaminess from the malths and lactose sugar. Hints of oats and coffee that are very welcomed.

Palate: The mouthfeel is thick and bold. Almost oily and sticky. The carbonation is big and makes this beer drinkable, but in moderation. No hinys of booze what so ever. The tongue gets coated with coffee and a thick creaminess that then is followed by some milk chocolate and oats.

Finish: Short but layered with flavor, not overly complex but a solid beer. A little thick and oily knocks it down a bit, but a solid offering

A - Pours black with one finger of creamy tan head. Head has decent retention and leaves patchy lacing.

S - Chocolate and roasted malts, with some sweet cream.

T - Similar to smell with quite a bit of creaminess up front. Finishes dry and earthy, with lingering roasted malts.

M -- Medium mouthfeel that is pretty creamy initially, and dry on the finish.

O - A pretty good milk stout. The oatmeal elements are nice. I'd the this again. (439 characters)

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic Imperial Pint.

Appearance: Brown-black with nice dark tan head and slight lacing.

Smell: Heavy roast, with milk chocolate, cream, coffee and oats.

Taste: Tastes very much like a creamy mochachino. Despite the sweet, chocolatey core, the finish has enough coffee, sharp roast and English hoppiness to keep it surprisingly balanced.

Feel: Unbelievably smooth. Wow. Carbonation is kept in check and the finish is somewhat dry.

Overall: This is an incredibly smooth, balanced Stout. I really like Brau Brothers new lineup. (568 characters)

Moo Joos pours black with a 1” dark tan head. Roast and sweet malt with a touch of grain aromas rise from the glass. A mild sweetness runs throughout with some chocolate that lingers well into the aftertaste. The roast is mild and is moderated by a pinch of caramel. There is a little oatmeal body feel on your tongue but overall the body is little thin. (357 characters)

Pours pitch black. Seriously. I held it up to light and could not see through it. Brownish tan head. not much lacing on the glass. Smells of roasted coffee, chocolate and molasses. Taste is bitter chocolate, coffee, roasted malts. Nice creamy mouthfeel with little carbonation and silky smooth on the palate. I enjoyed this Milk Stout through and through. (355 characters)

big thanks to mizzouguy for sending this as part of the noob bif round 6.

12oz bottle at fridge temp poured into an SA perfect pint glass. no freshness info.

pours out nearly opaque black, reveals just a slight dark brown on the edges. a dark tan/ mocha colored head that quickly receeded to a ring and a few patchy spots of foam. a bit of lace off of a swirl that is quick to fall back into the beer.

very metallic aroma intially, this subsides a lot after the head dies down, but is still noticable in the background. lots of heavily roasted grains, some roasted coffee, heavily toasted/ burnt grain, and a hint of creamy oats and milky lactose. also a hint of fruit esters.

smooth, somewhat creamy, roasted malt, a bit of heavily toasted grain, dry bakers chocolate. a nice even bitterness throughout the taste and into the finish. kind of a subtle milky, creamy, oatiness takes this from a standard porter to a pretty decent milk stout. some slight fruit ester creep in towards the finish.

medium bodied, a little too much carbonation for the style for my liking. also maybe a bit too dry in the finish. left me longing for just a bit more body. a little chalky feel.

overall, maybe not a whole lot really stands out in this beer, but they seem to have gotten everything right for a very easy drinking, tasty stout. well made. (1,337 characters)

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass.

Appearance: Dark black with only a little brown color shining through the bottom. Lots of rising bubbles and a good five fingers of tan head with good retention and lots of sticky lacing.

Smell: Rich aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, milk, and coffee. Also some good hints of oats, vanilla, nuts, sugar, and anise. Very rich and sweet smelling.

Taste: Like the smell, sweet and roasty dark malts with lots of dark chocolate, coffee, and milk. Also some strong hints of oatmeal, nuts, vanilla, sugar, yeast, and anise. Also a fruity flavor that comes from British cask yeast according to the label. Very complex, rich, and sweet.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very creamy and smooth.

Overall: A very good stout that is rich and complex but not heavy. (861 characters)

Dark brown, plenty of light gets through around the edges, very small head on it, less than 1/8". Aroma, what the, where are the stout like qualities? Coffee, chocolate, 2 row, roasting,. . . .hello?

Taste, very bland, gritty lactose like character as if it didn't dissolve. Really reminded me of an even blander oatmeal stout with some creamer added to it, to give it that weird textured sweetness I'm pulling down. Middle of the road in almost every way, doesn't make me like or dislike it really (I guess dislike since I had my expectations up). Overall the bland and thinness of the experience were probably the greatest letdowns.

If it was any thinner, I'd think people were cutting this with like, water and nonfat milk. (729 characters)

12 oz bottle, unbdated, poured into a SA lager glass.
A: pour is clear and very dark brown but looks pitch black in the glass. A gentle pour is needed to keep the tall mocha head from going over the top. Glass is thoroughly coated upon tilting, with some lacing clinging the glass afterwards.

Smell: Sweet and rich with a suggestion of cinnamon, a clear note of chocolate, oat bread, a touch of dark fruit, and a hint of granola. Very slighty, and pleasantly, boozy.

Taste: not quite as good or complex as the aroma, but still quite good.
Sweet up front but balanced by the finish. Hints of coffee, dark fruits and chocolate in the aftertaste.

M - Full bodied; very smooth; ABV seems hight than 6%.

O: very nice cross-over (milk + oatmeal) stout with a super aroma. (774 characters)
