A: Golden color, thick head upon pour but dissipated fast.

S: First smelled like skunked Budweiser then after the head dissipated my nose sensed sweet notes of candy peach rings.

T: Lacking carbonation but tastes like smell, candy peach rings.

M: Finished smooth no discernible aftertaste.

O: Very good beer. The 1664 Blanc will be on the shortlist of good summer refreshing beers.

Appearance: Hazy light golden color, with a moderate, persistent white head, which retains well. The lacing is fine and scattered.

Aroma: Modest aroma of coriander, wheat, understated herbal hops, and a slight mustiness.

Taste: Opens with mild wheat malt, and a flourish of coriander. As the taste progresses, some earthiness from the wheat is apparent. Late in the taste, there is a modest herbal hop presence. The finish is graceful and mild.

Mouth feel: Light body, with soft carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: A pleasant, drinkable, and somewhat understated example of the Witbier style.

Presentation Packaged in a custom cobalt blue glass bottle (!) with a pry-off crown, served in a new Belgium Brewing chalice.

Really good white beer with highly distinguishable zesty profile, amazing and delicious. Has the tangy refreshing notes you want in a white beer, perfect for the summer and really good year round.
Though I do get the hiccups each time I have my first few sips, I really love going back to it consistently.
Available on tap in Canada more so than in the US, and also conditioned in bottles and cans, any format, container was consistently good and refreshing.
Go Kro!!
