Sampled on draught in Venice, never again.

I ordered this because I remembered 1664 not being that bad from a previous trip to Italy. Well first, this is not 1664, and second it is bad.

Poured a golden yellow with a slight white head and lots of carbonation.

Aromas of corn, cheap malt, live stock feed grain, and cheap, stale hops. Not a skunk flavor, but definitely not inviting.

The aroma should have been the warning. If they don't use a ton of adjucts I'm not sure what went wrong. Tastes of corn, underroasted malt, and stale hops. Very watery. Better than Burger Light, but worse than Bud Light IMHO. They could do a lot to improve this beer. Choose better quality ingredient, change their brewing process, and I'm sure there are other things that would help as well.

cute little green 25 cl bottle. Price is great! Looks like well hydrated urine. Smells like fermented skunk piss. Mildly fruity, crisp and biting. I suggest ordering this as a dume pesche. With out fruit syrup, this stuff is damn near intolerable. Closest American comparison is Natty light.

Brought a 500ml can home from a recent trip to Europe. The beer pours clear yellow with big foamy head to start then dissapates quickly which left almost no lacing on the glass. The aroma is fairly thin, not much to comment on. Fairly typical of Euro pale lagers, but a little under the average. Overall not the greatest.

This is the French "Bud light". It is what we drink when we are 14 years old over there.
I don't recommend to buy this beer unless it is the last one on earth.
It doesn't taste like beer but there is alcohol... If you get drunk you wont be able to drink beer for days! I recommend the 1964 from the same brewery.

The Rathskeller Wine & Beer Fest:When poured, this beer formed a small sized white head that contained fine sized bubbles. The body was clear with very little carbonation. The hue of this beer was yellow and the nose was that of a typical Lager. The flavor was flat and uninviting. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and smooth. This beer was lacking any character.

A-Pours a yellow-golden color w/a rich white soapy head that lasts a long time.

S-Slightly skunky hop aroma, veggie soup, dishwater, slight metallic note, hint of wet dog. I can't even pick up much in the way of malt or even adjuncts except for a hint of corn, and just a hint of hops.

T-The taste is very faint, rendering it fairly inoffensive, but nothing more. Slightly sweet w/hints of diluted grain, just a whiff of hops in the finish.

M-Extremely thin to a fault, even w/the subdued flavor. Moderate carbonation.

D-If you like beer w/almost no taste, this is for you. It is easy to drink, but there is little enjoyment in the process except for the visual aesthetics. It is sessionable and I can imagine putting down a couple of these w/no problem while doing housework or mowing.

Relatively little flavor in the nose, this drink just to take off in taste and even for a lager. Even to cool, there's more to be put in the tooth. Without doubt a striking example of the mediocrity of beer called "industrial", that is to say, without flavor, taste and distinguished nothing, or little, water artificially hoppy and leaves not a good memory. Kro' is like this kind of beer.

I decided to try the sample of this one to see if I wanted to buy a full pint. Glad I only went with the 3oz. Yes, I'm writing this review on a 3oz tasting but this beer seems to be represented as something more based on the menu I read and having had some great beers from France I felt I should pass along my notes:

A - yellowish / straw in color, white light head by the time it made it to my table.
S - corn sugar dominated anything else I could get.
T - light malts / corn / corn sugar. Very light very milde.
M - light bodied, medium carbonation and very clean.
D - so light tasting and clean finishing that it's gone before you know it.

Stretching a bit for me - this would make a nice hot weather beer where you want to impress with a foreign name but an approachable easily adopted brew for most any macro drinker.

Had this beer on tap at my favorite watering hole. It pours a clear straw yellow and had very little head that quickly faded. The smell is sharp and pungent with a slight skunky smell. The mouthfeel is basically like water. The taste is grassy, slightly grainy, and reminds me a lot of Budwiser. I’m thinking this beer is loaded with adjuncts, tastes that way at least. I don’t plan on having another, now or later.

Pours well and produces massive amounts of bright white head, the body of the brew is gold in color, and is a little darker than expected.

Aroma is of malt mostly. Not much in the way of hops. There is a cereal grain stickiness, and maybe corn.

The taste is horded by the dextrin sugars, and has hardly any real malt properties. In the end there is a cooked vegetable and tobacco like flavor.

Feels soapy, like when I accidently wash my hair while breathing through my mouth when I have a cold.

This beer is almost too sick to be drunk. I can't get past the soapiness. This beer looked great, which was a good trick!

Another hook-up from a fantastic auxiliary member of The CANQuest (TM), einweizenbitte, who is one of the more prescient CANtacts in this madness. I have no idea of his background or employment, but he is language fluent, well-traveled, tack-sharp and generous to boot. Many, many thanks!

He often refers to me as "Herr Konigsberg", which is Allen Konigsberg's original surname before he inverted his first (given) name to his current surname and took on "Woody" from a source unknown to me. Brilliant!

How about some Crack & Glug? That sounds like a Water Street girl's come-on, actually. Whoops. Suggestions welcome. I CANnot convey in words how adept I have become at the inverted pour from a CAN. The idea is to begin with a weak flow and then totally invert the CAN. It results in a head that is to die for, even off of some cheap AAL, plus you CAN totally experience the nose. I had two rocky fingers' worth of bone-white head that fell like Wile E. Coyote from a cliff, leaving behind some fascinating lace. Nose was, sadly, metallic, but it had nothing to do with the CAN itself. This was just poorly made lager. Color was a pretty golden-yellow with NE-quality clarity, for you aesthetes. Mouthfeel was medium with the metallic taste refusing to allow anything else to come to the forefront. Oof. Even the finish was like heavy metal. No F'n' way is this going into my cooler!

Soundtrack for drinking this beer: Some heavy metal. Think Ozzy, Motorhead, et al.

Pours a clean golden/ yellow with a white head. In the aroma, small sweet malt. In the taste, malty and a bit sweet for a lager. A smooth malty mouthfeel and a sweet malty aftertaste. Not skunky at all, as some European lagers tend to be, yet nothing really say than it was a lager.

A: Crystal clear amber gold with white head, nice lace and good retention.
S: Lightly roasted caramel malt aromas.
T: Nutty, bread, caramel and toffee flavors. Low hop profile.
M: Light bodied, smooth and nicely carbonated.
O: Decent brew that tastes better on French soil.
