Currently, I'm sampling the various Euro macros available at NB Liquor. This one poured a reasonably nice pale yellow colour, however there was very little head or lacing as I sipped the glass.

The smell was average, though I wasn't expecting a whole lot in terms of aroma. It really could have been any one of a number of Euro macros, or BMC for that matter.

Taste was another story....very mild, sweet, a little bit like the taste of a digestive cookie. I thought I could detect some corn or adjuncts in the taste. Looking at the label, both "glucose syrup" and "hop extract" are listed.

I wouldn't turn this one down on a hot day, but I really can't see paying good money for this one again ($3.29 CDN for the can).

Time to get another most likely crappy beer off my list. Got to fill a mix 6-pack and looked like it would be a not so great beer, but figured worth a shot. And horrible GREEN bottle!

Pours a fizzy pasty white crummy looking sad head that gets to almost 1/4 of a finger bit not much, it seems to want to have lacing but even the lacing can't keep it up. the beer is a brilliantly crystal clear watery cider apple tan colored, obviously filtered to no end.

NOse is, well, not too bad. Some obvious light signs of skunk but not a whole lot. light Euro pilsner aromas, some grassy hay, some light soft lager fruit aromas but some weird ones with it, a touch of a banana like even. Quite light overall.

Taste again hints at light skunk but not bad. More Euro pilsner, light grassy hay malts, light lager fruits, a hint of metallic twing from the lager but not much. Light, crisp, refreshing, and fluffy even. The faintest hint of grassy hop touch. Finish is dry and crisp, light fruity lager and touch of sticky sweetness, quite clean overall on the finish, with a touch of bitterness.

Mouth is lighter bodied but as expected, good carbonation.

Overall, well, not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Just a hint of skunk from the green bottle, and touch of metallic hot lager yeast like off flavor. Otherwise a light profile but crisp fairly clean and drinkable pilsner, with lighter but decent malt profile and touch hops. Could use a bit more overall for just about everything, but still drinkable. Great for a hot summer day I bet, but still could do without the green bottle.
