Wow. Wow. Wow is all i can say about this beer. Bought it in a 1 Pint 6oz bomber bottle in Anchorage, AK. Bottle had lots of sediment built up at bottom a solid 1/4 inch + high. turned the bottle slowly upside down a few times then put back in the fridge to continue cooling for about 30 minutes then slowly turned over once more before i poured it to just mix it again but not foam it up.

The appearance of this beer is spectacular, its exactly what i expect when i get an unfiltered beer, very cloudy gold to light bronze color, lots of sediment floating around and lots of rising activity. pours a 2 finger head and holds a 1/4 off white head the whole glass down leaving some lacing on the sides but not as much as expected from the initial head.

The smell is a little disappointing as the aroma of the hops just isn't there, if i were to do a blind test of this beer and stick my nose into the glass i would never guess it was a 100+ IBU IPA. very bready/ sweet malty aroma with a background of slight pineapple citrus and the slightest hint of pine. overall not a very aromatic beer.

the taste. WOW. From the head you get this suuuuuuper bitter hoppyness that smacks you in the front of the tounge then runs to the back of your mouth and follows up imeaditaly with a perfect balance of bready malts with a hint of honey. very drinkable and lovable unfiltered beer. i will be going straight to the store tomorrow after work to purchase more and stock the fridge.

only thing holding this beer bad from scoring a perfect 5 in my book is the lack of aroma, you dont get that wow factor on the initial smell tat reassures you that this is going to be an amazing beer. maybe thats why i find it so damn good is because i let my guard down and didn't expect it to be so balanced after i smelled it.

the Hoppy smell right from the glass lets you know that you are about to have a great beer. Mostly have had it on draft but have also had it in the bottle. Can't wait for harvest to come when there is a fresh hop version.
LM has the taste and smell of all the great hoppy beers. There are many great California
beers and I would compare it to some of the best!

A: good looking iipa. Creamy white head that sits for a bit. Translucent. Rich golden color.

S: maybe it's my allergies but I can't really smell anything. I give it a 3.25 because it doesn't smell BAD, but doesn't smell like anything at all.

T: hop overload! Hoppiness hits the side and malty ness hits the front of the tongue. It's a raw hoppiness too. Tastes unfiltered. Seems to get a little flat after a couple degrees warmer.

M: pretty good. Pretty smooth despite the how hoppy it is.

O: quality iipa. Not entirely complex, but sometimes a hop-sledge is what you want. It's great as a hop monster.
