A-Pale anemic orange. Same color when held to light. White-brown head, three finger thick. Swirls of unfiltered brown sediment decorate atop the head. May look "dirty" to some. The lacing is outstanding. The head is long lasting. The head and lace save the day.

S-Orange. Pineapple. Malt. Hops. Some pine. Resin. Funky. Cheesy. Pine Sol. Unique smelling.

T-Starts with an orange citrus bittersweet start. The middle is a sweet, soft caramel malt backbone that arches over the tongue gently, but pronounced as well. A great air of hops and pine permeate throughout the entire sip. The finish boomerangs back to the orange bittersweet taste. More flavors throughout the sip: Tobacco, earthy, straw and hay.

M-Medium-low body. Medium carbonation. Slightly peppery, maybe it's the sediment/yeast most likely. Could be the hops. The beer has the unique "best of both worlds" approach in feel, (it refreshes and wets and yet slightly dries to make you literally thirst for another sip). While nothing mind-blowing in feel, it does meet the bar.

O-A quality obscure beer more should try. At 4% ABV Treasure Valley Ale is the epitome of session drinking. It tastes stronger than it is. Flavor is the standout quality, followed by the long lasting head & lacing.

The label says "Brewed with Idaho barley and Cascade, Chinook, and Zeus hops from the Treasure Valley". So this is a "Drink Local First" brew for sure.

Picked up at the COOP over the weekend and finally getting around to tasting it tonight.. pour shows an aggressive 2 finger white head... incredible retention and lacing... the brew itself is slightly hazed straw golden.

Nose is fresh pale maltiness and a nice background/balanced citrus+lite tropical fruity hoppiness.

Flavor mirrors the nose... very balanced and very drinkable... at 4% I could pull a few pints of this without problem... A great summer beer that makes use of local beer ingredients.

Body is light with a medium carbonation... pretty damn good given most low ABV beers weigh too heavy on either the malt or hops or are too watery to begin with.

I rarely give low ABV brews this much love, but I dig it... It is fresh and tasty and the brewers gave nods to local farmers.. very cool.

On tap at Waddell's

Golden with a solid quilt of whites on top. Smells of a bit of butter, some grass, a little resin and grain. Flavor is malts, slight bitterness, and sweetness. Medium on thin with a low carb. Decent beer. Drinkable. It seems it has some flaws, but at such low ABV, I'm super glad to have it - needs cans.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy goldenstraw color; the head foamed up nicely and left a few strands of lace

Smell: Citrusy grapefruit aromatics

Taste: White grapefruit with just a hint of lemon edge; a touch bready, underneath, but the citrus dominates from start to finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: For a 4% ABV beer, this really packs in the flavor; a great sessionable APA

Thanks, JohnGalt1, for the opportunity

Pours a hazy gold with a foamy off-white head that settles to a small island of foam on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Tiny particles of sediment are seen floating around in the beer after the pour. Smell is of malt and subdued citrus fruit and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with slight earthy and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer with a decent flavor but the hop presence is slightly better in the aroma in my opinion.
