Appears a very pale golden highly carbonated bubbles rush to settle after a vigorous pour white head forms dwindling quickly leaves uneven specks of lacing down my pint. Aroma light sweetness cooked veggie tones carbonated water mineral character wispy herbal hop gasp. I'm liking the bottleneck saying purity, consistency, and tradition all important but nothing to due with the taste of Lionshead Light deluxe pilsner...light trickling sweetness comparable to any other big brewers go with a light beer this one however has some light malt sweetness, cooked veggie notes, mineral water character pretty clean with a lingering grainy Wilkes Barre Lion brewery flow low hop bitterness pretty clean herbal hop touch. Mouthfeel is carbonated water texture very light with bitey turbid carbonation kinda rough on the back of the throat. Drinkability another one of those value beers with character definitely drink this over BMC anyday but for a good beer it's light lager, not much to this one.

Really not much different from the standard version, but obviously more subdued all around. It's nothing special, but for a local beer at $10 a case I don't mind drinking it when I can get it fresh. The drinkability is incredible as well.

All in all it's not a bad choice when you're just looking for an inexpensive beer to drink a ton of.

As far as light beers go, Lionshead Light offers great value. It's got more flavor than many others with a nice grainy maltiness. It pours an attractive golden body with a nice white head that holds pretty well and leaves some minor lace at the outset of the glass. The aroma is generic "beer", but that's to be expected. It's light bodied and crisp; and nicely balanced with a firm, underlying bitterness and some mild background hops. It's far from the best beer that the Lion makes, but it's nicely done and the price cannot be beat!

12oz can poured into pint glass.
Color is a clear and light yellow/gold with a nice fizzy head and alot of bubbles. Looks like a typical light pale lager. Smells of corn, cooked vegetables and bubblegum. Tastes of corn and some sweet malts. Very little hop presence. The tastes vanishes immediatly, leaving a clean finish. Mouthfeel is fluid with moderate carbonation. Pretty good for the style and at $12.99 for a case of cans, it's tough to beat.

Pointless beer, essentially a Lionshead but more subdued in every area. Being that the regular Lionshead is a fine cheap lager which is better than it's expensive alternatives I would (grudgingly) recommend this to those who are trying to get light beer drinkers to look at more craft like beer. Still, I think its pointless, life is too short to drink light beer.

Appearance-hazy golden, minimal head.

Smell-subdued tone of grains

Taste-watery but fresh, like any light beer, it doesn't taste like crap which is a plus but that I suppose is because it is tasteless.

Mouthfeel- Goes down smooth and light, like it isn't even there.

Drinkability-Could definitely throw a few of these back on a hot day, but then again I could do that with a regular Lionshead as well.

The CANQuest (TM) rolls on, thanks to my having gotten the hang of resizing photos for submission. I have a bunch of CANs that I was holding in abeyance until I could get a picture uploaded since they look better unopened, IMHO. This was one of them. CAN you dig it?

The Crack & Glug left me with a finger of bone-white head that was disappearing pretty rapidly as I typed. Color was a medium golden-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Nose was very corn-adjunct filled, but nothing new or disturbing about it. Mouthfeel was medium with a very mild sweetness on the tongue. It was obvious that it was a diluted version of a standard AmeriCAN Adjunct Lager. The finish had a corn flavor that did not do anything to enamor me to it. I understand that this type of beer appeals to a large segment of the public, but it just left me kind of cold.

Not sure why I am reviewing this - other than that I have some in my fridge from the recent visit of a friend who likes to play mindless drinking games and there are only five other reviews - so what the hell. Color is a clear, pale yellow, some foamy head but no staying power. Honestly, it smells like crap. Most macro lagers, light or otherwise do, but still I hate the smell of macro lager. Taste is pretty decent, actually; crisp and clean, light bodied, nothing terribly offensive. $10 a case - can't beat that.
