Lionshead is truly a beer that I have thoroughly enjoyed since the very beginning. Despite the fact that its not a particularly great beer, in any regard what so ever, I still find myself going back to it again and again as the East coast college favorite that i know and love. The fact of the matter, and basis of this whole review, frankly, is that you will not find a better cheap beer for the price. Its an extremely inexpensive beer that actually tastes like something other than piss-water. When I first started drinking this delicious beverage (2006) it was $9.99 a case with delivery. Even at its current price ($13.99), I don't care where you are, I defy you to find a better beer for the price! The Rebus puzzles under the caps are also an added bonus.
A- (poured into pilsner glass) Light golden-straw colour, clear, carbonation bubbles rising, not much head to speak of.
S- sent of carbonation, slight sent of alcohol, and a bit of what i can only describe as oats and bread.
T- Subtle taste of corn, oats and bread, slightly sweet finish, also traces of hops tingles the tongue on the finish.
M- Medium-light body, carbonated, crisp.
D- Drinks very well for a cheap lighter beer. Contains its own unique taste. Refreshing and enjoyable any time of year. As stated above, I will return to this beer continuously.
Lionshead- The best head in town.
