50cl bottle. Pours a hazy straw yellow with a puffy white head that doesn't last, though it leaves nice lacing. Smells of light, sweet malt and plenty of floral notes. A bit of light tartness. Interest taste, with a lot of sugary sweetness contrasting the tart character and herbal/mineral notes. Light-medium body with good carbonation. Too sweet to drink well.

Brought back from bottle shop in Europe. This offering pours a orange straw color, the nose is sweet, citrus, fruity, grassy, very summer time feel to this beer. The taste is tart on the palate hard citrus bite of orange and lemon followed by a bready, honey sweetness that helps balance this beer out. Overall very solid beer, wouldn't mind drinking this all summer long. Quality offering.

First of all: The style. According to the brewery, this is a beer “brewed with barley malt, wheat malt, spiced with elderflowers, inspired by the English traditions”. It is not a “Wit”, but I found the description as the least bad alternative.

The colour is orange-yellow, the liquid a bit hazy. There is a low white head.

The smell is sour with notes of minerals, earth, berries (raspberries). Not that strong, but full of character.

The taste is earthy with lots of minerals, yeast and some sweet notes of toffee and peanuts. It is not bad, but quite headstrong. There are some of those typical “microbrewery uncleanness” in the aftertaste. However, the result is more balanced than expected. Aftertaste is fruity and mildly sour.

The carbonation is strong and pleasant. The liquid a little creamy.

The name, translated "Spring at Fyn", is also the name of a well known Danish orchestral piece.
