Andy's is a small place on the north side of the OSU campus. Parking is limited but there is also a drive through if you know what you're looking for.

Upon entering the front door there is a row of coolers on the right with micros. Selection is average: Victory, Anchor, Bells, Sierra Nevada. Pretty much standards for the Columbus area. To the right of the micro coolers is a cooler for singles. Selection of singes is not bad.

On the other side of the store there is another row of coolers for imports and bombers. This selection is about as good as the micros. Nothing really stands out.

For a quick place to stop and pick a quality 6-pack this is the place. I think the size of the establishment prevents it from being great though.

I don't stop in here often, even though I live just down the street. Overall, not a bad place to pick something up. If I don't feel like driving a little farther to Palmer's or Weiland's, this is the place. They have a make your own 6-pack option (haven't used that yet). The selection is pretty average; haven't seen anything in here that I can't get elsewhere.

The service is great. Everyone that I've ever interacted with here was always been very helpful and knowledgeable. There's not a lot of space in here, but it is clean, well organized and well kept. Overall, not a bad place to pick something up.

Andy's Carryout is a small convenience store on busy North High Street, not far from The Ohio State University. There are about half a dozen parking spots in front and I had no problem finding an empty one. Wine fills the shelves directly in front and to the left of the front door; BAs will want to hang a sharp right.

Pretty good selection here although not as good as the city's best by any means. Nice variety of singles, most of which were in the cooler. Despite the undersized store and the relatively small area devoted to beer, there were some good selections at Andy's. I managed to build two mixed sixers of things that I hadn't seen anywhere else in the city (although my Columbus beer experience is far from exhaustive). The prices seemed about right, nothing jumped out at me as overpriced for instance. The girl behind the counter couldn't have been nicer.

This is worth a stop if you're in the area, though I'm not sure that I'd travel all the way across the city for a look-see. If I had been 'beer knowledgeable' when I was at OSU, I would have spent many a night trekking up to Andy's (and probably wouldn't have graduated on time as a result).

Stopped by on my way up High St. to Pace-Hi on my first trip to Columbus in quite a while. I'd heard--and read--about Andy's for some time, so I was a bit surprised at how small it is. Since it was late afternoon, parking wasn't a problem and the clerk was helpful without hovering, giving me lots of time to browse.

Selection is good and the choice of singles is quite good--better than Kenny Rd. Market but not as good as Pace-Hi.

Not a real " destination" stop, but well worth a visit if you're in the area.

I must have gone on the wrong day. I went on a Saturday so maybe the weekday help is better. I was inspired to stop by after reading all the reviews from other BA's. However, the experience fell far short of my expectations. The selection was nice but the people working there seemed more interested in selling lottery tickets to the kids coming in off the streets than anything else. Nice selection but not overly impressed. Seemed like all the macros overpowered the smaller but still nice selection of craft beers. I guess it would be a good place to go if you were in the campus area. However, for my time and the location, there are other places that are better in that area to patronize. Maybe I'll visit during the week to see if it's any different.

Not the best spot in Columbus for beer, but not a bad one either. It is located quite well to serve the university community, but its location is in a congested area and lacks significant parking, though its 8 or so spots may be adequate for all but the busiest of times. I was surprised by the lack of interest showed by the clerk in my visit. Perhaps a student, he was the employee and I the only customer in the rather small store. He remained on a cordless phone the entire I was there and didn't ask to help. Still, the beer here is real enough to seek out regardless of service issues.

Good selection with a large number of them refrigerated. Not a lot of singles availability. Staff is knowledgable and helpful. Prices seem typical. Store is in fairly good condition, although it's obviously old. Not the easiest place to get in and out of with the High Street traffic. Worth the stop, though.

As the name implies, Andy's is a short distance north of OSU. Not in the best part of town, but there is a small parking lot as well as street parking.

This is definitely a "must visit" place if you are on a beer crawl in the Columbus area. Andy's has a small convenience store look to it, but inside you will find a good selection of beers, both in coolers and on shelves.

Andy's has a newsletter that informs subscribers about current case specials, and that alone is reason to be on the subscription list. The case deals are unbelievable, and every once in awhile they snag a real gem (ie the now-defunct Miami Trails). They also have a small section devoted to high-ABV beers. Not only that, it is probably the only place you can get a growler of Barley's beer other than Barley's.

If you are visiting OSU they are worth a visit. The proprietor is on top of the beers he carries and is very friendly.

This place has the best selection for the North Campus area. So if you want to check out OSU, this is the place to get your beer. Extra points for them keeping a lot more of their beer cold. And, don't ask me how they swung this deal: The growlers you get from Barley's Brewing to get their beer to go? The have filled and sealed, those same growlers/jugs with Barley's beer. Watch my friends in the North Campus area make a run on that place when he has the Barley's Christmas Ale.
