Kelly's is the go-to place for craft beer in the Berkshires.
They have a wonderful selection that is organized by style and alphabetical order, making it very easy to find what you're looking for.

The staff are always friendly, willing to help with anything.
The classes that they offer (Mega Beer Classes, etc.) are really great! Fun, interactive, and informative. They also provide a nice selection of artisanal cheeses that are available to purchase as well.

They update their website regularly and always seem to have some type of event going on. They make you feel welcome and that can be hard to come by these days.

Keep up the awesomeness!

I have been to stores far and wide and have yet to find one with such an inviting atmosphere and staff anywhere else. A very impressive selection of beer as well as wine and liquors. I have trouble not stopping in whenever I drive buy which tends to put a dent in my wallet as there are always far too many new beers on the shelf that I have to have.

The tasting classes they offer are spectacular, especially the Mega Beer classes which feature skype meet-ups with some of the head brewers.

Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Kelly's has a great craft beer selection. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. They have great classes to learn about and taste craft beer. I highly recommend Kelly's for beer.

Kelly's also has classes for wine and liquors.

Kelly's is a long-standing family owned business so it is a great way to shop local.

Kelly's is the jewel of the berkshires for craft beer afficiandos. We here in the berkshires are blessed with a nice range of stores that carry a wide range of brews, as well as some nice pubs with excellent selection. What sets Kelly's apart though is the passion and knowledge that comes with the experience. They go above and beyond just selling good beer and knowing good beer, they live and breath this stuff. My wife and I attended the Mega Beer class on 1/23/14. Wow just wow, we were able to enjoy local cheese paired perfectly with beers from Bear Republic, Unibroue, Brouwerji Hof Ten Dormall. And a Ninja beer!! but i cant talk about that one.

We were greeted with web chats with the master brewer from Bear, and Unibroue. they were so thrilled to be chatting it up with us folks, a class of about 25 people. We even got to try the whiskey distilled from the Bear Republic Racer 5. Excellent class very informative and everyone was just having a blast. I could have stayed there all night. To top it off you got 15% off of the beers that were tasted so we grabbed a Hof Ten #2 and something else that wasnt tasted but they put the 15% on the whole order anyway. class act people really giving the Beer movement in Berkshire County well deserved street cred.

Kelly’s is an inviting bright package store with a new clean high-end upscale feel, yet can appeal to everyone. Beer, wine, and spirits are displayed well and easy to locate. After the large addition the store has a spacious feel, where you can browse a myriad selection of beer and take your time without feeling cramped. There is also a very large size walk in beer cooler.

Service is spectacular. Whether you’re a regular or newbie, the staff and owners are always willing to lend assistance to help locate what you are looking for, or assist in trying something new based off your favorite style. They are always willing to lend a hand and help carry out to your vehicle when making a larger purchase. They host multiple types of Beer classes, where they can break down the beer and explain all the little flavors that you taste. The classes are also exciting because you get to talk to some of the brewers, and staff personnel from the actual best breweries around the world via live skype.

Prices are very reasonable, and they set up package deals where if you buy more craft beers you get an additional discount, pricing the beer lower than other stores. If you don’t see what your looking for whether its beer, wine, or spirits the staff will go out of their way to help obtain that product for you, if they can get it.

I always feel up to date on events and beer releases with their social media to include emails and Facebook posts. Kellys is my go to store, not only for Beer, but the Wife’s wine, artisanal cheeses, chocolate, coffee, and many other delectable treats. Even if I can get a product closer to home, Ill drive the extra few miles for the enjoyable experience of going to Kellys. It is by far the best beer store in Western MA.

Hit this place based on other reviews, on a day back in mid-summer when I had no other responsibilities and could tour the far west of my state without limit.

First thing that struck me was that this is a sparkly new, expanded store, very bright and clean and well laid out. Front room is all liquor and wine.

The beer is in the large back room all by itself, and if you park in the lot alongside the side entrance, a right turn once inside and you are there. Probably the most elbow room of any beer store I have been in.

"Walken" coolers along the far side and back walls of the c.50x75 foot space, long aisle of shelf space in front. Tons of cases and sixpacks in the coolers, bombers and singles on the aisle shelf. Some glassware and gift sets too.

Prices are good. Since I was out to buy and had just shopped the other big local beer store to little success due to the prices, I spent the most in any one store yet here.

Service was also better than most, although admittedly at the time I shopped and checked out there were few other customers. A young employee even asked if he could take my purchases out to my car.

On reviewing the receipt at home, however, the two glasses I bought which were over a sign reading $2.99 were listed as "tax" and totalled $15 on an $86 total tab. No added tax on liquor in my state, so that was odd. But since I scored a Duvel gift set for only $13, I let that pass.

Check out their website for specials and new arrivals.

Kelly's seems to try hard to excel, and in most ways they succeed. Probably one of the top five beer stores in Western Massachusetts, and very possibly offering the best shopping experience of all.

Fantastic craft store in the Berkshires. I always enjoying stopping off at Kelly's when I make a trip home to visit the folks. The last two years I have been there in the summer they have had FW anniversary series, parabola, Sucaba, Founders BS, BCBS, Sang Noir, Bruery and Boulevard sours and other national special releases that do not last a day on the shelf in Austin.

Andrew was a great help in suggesting some smaller New England breweries which was what I was really looking for. They had a full lineup of Jacks's Abbey (minus porter), Cisco Lady of Woods, Maine Beer Co etc.

Even offered a 10% discount on 6 beers and 15% on 12. Will definitely return to Kelly's on the next visit home.

Stopped in to Kelly's while visiting the Berkshires from Long Island, based on other positive reviews on this website. This place has a HUGE selection of single bottles and cans for sale from 12oz to 750ml (as well as the usual 6-packs and cases), covering a very wide variety of styles and breweries. The store is very clean and well taken care of. Beers are organized by style and prices are clearly marked, which is much appreciated. I found a few real surprises sitting on the shelves (stuff that either never made it to Long Island or has been long gone from the shelves there) and was very impressed with the range of offerings.

Staff was helpful, very knowledgeable and clearly enthusiastic, without being intrusive or pushy. Since I was primarily looking for beer outside the NY distribution, Andy was especially friendly and helpful, pointing out the various Boulevard bottles and others to add to my Jack's Abby collection.

This place is a real gem in a beautiful, quaint, New England town. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Berkshires or living within a reasonable driving range. You won't be sorry!

On a side note, I went in with my dad, a traditional BMC guy who has recently branched into Sam Adams and a few other "gateway" brews and he was blown away by the selection and the friendliness of the staff. Got him to try a couple Jack's Abby's that night and may have created a brand new BA.

Great place to buy Craft Beer in WMASS. Recently renovated and expanded beer area with lots of cold storage to keep beer fresh. The staff will go out of there way to help you with a selection. I have been to a couple of their beer classes where they open some unusual of rare beers for tasting by the participants. Lots of fun and informative.

Great place to stop while vacationing in the Berkshires.... load up on fine brews.!!

I was up in Dalton for some personal business and saw they were the only good place in town. As i passed by it the first time i thought it was a small place. But as you walk in the store is long and towards the back it was a craft beer store.

q: The store was laid out well for the beers were grouped together on styles which i thought was a nice change of pace.

S: I was helped by an employee named Andrew and right off the bat this guy knew his stuff. I think he knew what i wanted when he saw the bottle of Cascade Sang Noir in my hand. just started talking about different beers and what he had in the back room. And with my high bill for the all beers i was buying Andrew threw in a couple free glasses and a bottle bag.

S: The selection was out of this world. The beers that were on the shelf blew my mind. BCBS bottles on the shelf, the thing that blew me away was about 5 or 6 bottles of DFH Fort on the shelf. And the selection of sour beers were amazing.

If you are ever in Dalton Mass I highly suggest stopping at Kelly's Package Store Inc.
