Amber body with a thin, creamy covering on the surface. Interesting aroma of sweet Maraschino cherry juice, creamy vanilla, fruity yeast esters, and a hint of wood. Tart cherry sharpness in the flavor, vanilla, slight butterscotch, and Belgian yeast in the background. Maybe just a little wood here as well, but mostly more creamy flavors from the barrels. Drying medium body. I don't know...it's not really cohesive enough for all the different elements being utilized.

look: 3.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 4

Appearance: Arrives with the amber color tinged red by the cherry juice; not much of a head, however

Smell: Shortbread, cherries and wood

Taste: Shortbread flavors, up front, with the cherries adding slightly tart and slightly funky elements in the middle; after the swallow, the brandy barrel adds wood and liqueur flavors

Mouthfeel: Medium body with low to moderate carbonation

Overall: Easy to drink; slightly tart, slightly funky with a nice wood treatment
