There are five CB & Potts in Colorado at the time of writing this review--Westminster, Broomfield, Fort Collins, Greenwood Village/Denver Tech, and Highlands Ranch--and were it not for the local high school pennants and banners, it would be hard to tell the difference between any of them. The flagship beers--all seven of them--are the same, the set-up and atmosphere are identical. Half is a restaurant, half is a bar, the restrooms are at the front door, the brewhouse is hidden behind the bar, there's usually a "lounge" with pool tables and larger TVs off to the side of the bar. The kitchen is open to view and divides the restaurant. This brewpub is the spawn of big box landscapes.
I don't want to come off as having a problem with chain brewpubs--Rock Bottom makes beer that usually ranges from good to great. CB & Potts, however, does not. And the Highlands Ranch batches of beer seem to have a particularly off-putting issue with diacetyl.
So, the Highlands Ranch CB&P is just like any other, only the beer--even the Hefe Weizen, which is usually a safe bet--is lackluster.
Even if you're in Highlands Ranch and desperately need a craft beer, it's better to make the trek out to the Rock Bottom in Centennial/Englewood. Skip this one.

A sports bar that brews beer...someplace. Not sure if this stuff is produced on site or not. This one is a bit of a 'ritzy' sports bar and would seem to specialize in martinis and fancy margaritas than beer. And this would be correct. The beer selection is fair, but quality is poor. They would do better if they tried to pair it with their predictable and overpriced food. The crowd was ok, friendly, and the wait staff the same, but nothing that would prove worthy of a return trip. They didn't know beer, other than the names. Food...so so.
If you're looking for good beer go to Rock Bottom or the big liquor stores in the area. Those are better bets.

This place has a couple good beers. I like the Big Red IPA and the porter, but that's about it. I didn't care for the rest. The sampler is a great price at $3.99 for 6 samples. I had 2 pints of the IPA after the sampler.
The bar area is very large and they have a ton of TV's and the sound is on for whatever the main game is. So it's a great place to watch a game. It gets quite crowded but everyone in there is pretty friendly.
The bartenders were good but they are sometimes understaffed.
I'll go again if I'm in the area.

Went here around 9pm on a Friday night. It was my first time seeing or hearing of the place so we figured we would stop in and I'm glad we did.
We were quick to get seated and the staff was friendly. Our server however was a little slow with new beers, checking on us, and bringing the tab.
The food was excellent. Their menu has some nice variety to it but we ended up ordering some burgers. I recommend the Blue Louie.. very good.
Beers were great as well. We did a sampler first and they all seemed right on style. The Hefe had some great banana flavors in it. The Porter and IPA were my favorites. My girl also loved the Porter, and she isn't a porter fan.
Prices for food were a tad on the high side, but the quality made it worth it. The atmosphere was fun and unbeat with a nice mix of people. I could see it being a fun place to go watch football at. They also offer specials during football.
