These Old Chicago’s are disappearing fast , The one in Roseville overlooks HarMar Mall and the Chick Fil A. It has a nice patio but its all overlooking a parking lot I have a soft spot for these places and ordered wings and the burger, Sxervice was good plentiful taps nothing outstanding but good local options its all comfort food and glad still one left in the area.

Looks like every Old Chicago except this has more Minnesota sport memorabilia. The beers tasted fresh/clean. Service was solid. The bartenders were fairly knowledgable about the beers. The selection didn't have a lot of rarities but they had the flagships of a lot of breweries.

I've visited this location a dozen or so times since it opened ('94?), and it's really grown on me in recent years.
Granted that there's a better selection nearby, beer-wise (with Grumpy's just up the avenue), but unless I'm visiting The Cellars I rarely find myself over that way. From my perspective this particular Old Chicago has always offered just the smallest slice of sanity for someone like myself who quickly tires of shopping.
Unless I'm mistaken the selection here is the same as can be found at every other location in this nationwide chain, and truth be told it's a fairly wide and diverse selection if not especially cutting edge or 'high class'. During the last Bears and Packers game I enjoyed a calzone alongside a house special, seasonal brew (Old Curmudgeon Ale), and couldn't have enjoyed myself any more (we were in the defacto 'Bears section' and the team spirit was high despite the loss ; ). More recently I was somewhat impressed with a late night special (9 PM onwards) -- $1 personal pan pizza, $1 Grain Belt premium*? Yes, please! This pricing structure certainly took the sting off the $7 shot of Jameson...
I've found that the service here has always been better than average, which more than makes up for the ice cold tumblers and Libbey pints.
The bar area -as previously noted- is a bit of a tight squeeze, and this spatial sensation was augmented on a recent visit by a live entertainment (acoustic guitar and keyboard) offering up stellar renditions of classic Dave Matthews tracks (hey, at least it wasn't karaoke!) Your best bet is to hunker down in a booth if you can manage to grab one: the place fills up pretty quickly from my experience.
Plenty of room in this place, and plenty of TV screens as well. There is also patio section, which in the summer I've found to be a veritable oasis on a Sunday afternoon, even though it offers little in the way of a 'view'.
*A 10oz pour, but still, the M/SP 'burbs ain't rural Wisconsin : )

When it comes to Old Chicagos, this is my Old Chicago location.
Has a nice patio area on the side, perfect for beers on a nice afternoon. Not the largest area though, so it can be tough to get a spot at busy times. The bar area is a bit cramped at times, but what it lacks there, it makes up for with a generally good tap beer selection. They've got a few of the major local brews (Summit, Schell's seasonal, Leinie's) on tap, and on occasion add various other MN and national micro/craft beers to the lineup, usually as part of the seasonal beer mini-tours. Bottle selection is standard Old Chicago, with some of the established MN craft beers.
The food here has always been good for me. Whether the free grub at the mini-tour parties, or pizzas during baseball, it's one of the better chain-type restaurants around.
The quality of service and overall experience has typically been high, though seems a bit touch-and-go sometimes. That is, some exceptional servers, some ok servers.
Beers are a tad pricey, though nothing prohibitive. The food prices are in-line with other chain restaurants.
Overall, a pretty decent place.
