Noticed this place on my travels through Kenmore Square a few times. Finally went in on Friday (10/5/07), to watch the end of what came out to be an amazing Red Sox play-off game (Manny's walk off HR).
Nestled in the basement of a Kenmore Square brownstone, this establishment has an out door patio section street-side. Inside has a long bar down the ride side, and rows of seating along the left. The atmosphere is very contemporary, with club-esque lighting, and furnishings. Very young and vibrant crowd, which is expected for this area, especially during a red Sox play-off.
Beer selection is varied. DFH, Stone, BBC, Sam, Fuller's, Cambridge Brewing, Chimay, Laguinitas, Smuttynose, Harpoon, Dale's Pale ale, Old Chub, and some more cheaper selections, like PBR and Schlitz. Some more there, but my memory is fuzzy. Prices are reasonable, especially the macros, but craft was at about 5 bucks a drink. ::CASH ONLY!::
Service was quick and pleasant, which was nice considering the large crowd.
A very chill spot, that shall see my return.
